In an air cleaner (32), three cyclone dust collection units (34) are arranged on one side of a filter dust collection unit (35) in a mutually parallel relationship. The cyclone dust collection units are arranged along a circumferential direction of the filter dust collection unit, and the central cyclone dust collection unit has a smaller diameter than the remaining cyclone dust collection units positioned on either side of the central cyclone dust collection unit so that the dust collection units can be accommodated in a rectangular profile is a highly space efficient manner.

The first and second pairs of opposing wails may create a flow passage between an inlet end (60) and an outlet end (62) of the filter element. The filter element may further include filter media (64) configured to separate particulates from air flowing through the flow passage, and a wedge element (66) associated with an exterior surface of at least one of the first pair of opposing walls. The wedge element may be configured to cooperate with an interior surface (46) of a filter housing (18) configured to receive the filter element. Outlet edges of the opposing walls of the first pair of opposing walls may extend at a first oblique angle (a) with respect to the longitudinal axis, and the wedge element may extend at a second oblique angle (β) with respect to the longitudinal axis.

An interface air filter and assembly for use with an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The assembly has a housing having an air intake port and an opening. There is an air filter assembly comprising an air filter having a closed end and an open end and a reducing coupling. The reducing coupling has a first end with a first engaging member having an external circumference and outer surface, a second end with a second engaging member having an external circumference less than the first engaging member external circumference, and the second engaging member has an inner surface. The first end of the reducing coupling is attached to the open end of the air filter. The air filter assembly is in contact with the housing such that the air filter resides within the housing and the outer surface of the first engaging member engages the housing. The inner surface of the second engaging member is adapted to contact an air intake tube outer surface so that air can pass from the air intake port into the housing then through the air filter and into the air intake tube.

An air intake arrangement for an air intake system for an engine includes a first pre-cleaner arrangement having a housing with an air flow inlet to receive air to be pre- cleaned. A pre-cleaner region is constructed and arranged to remove at least some particulate from the inlet air. The first pre-cleaner arrangement further includes a vacuum flow path and a drop tube flow path. The vacuum flow path is in air flow communication with a first vacuum source to selectively put a vacuum draw through the pre-cleaner region. The drop tube flow path is in air flow communication with a drop tube to eject particulate removed from the inlet air by the pre-cleaner region.

Das Filterelement (10) umfasst einen offenen Filterbalg (16) vorzugsweise aus einem zickzackförmig gefalteten Filtermedium (18). Der Filterbalg (16) weist eine mit anströmseitigen Faltkanten (20) aufgespannte Anströmseite (28) und eine mit abströmseitigen Faltkanten (20) aufgespannte Abströmseite (30) für das zu filtrierende Fluid auf. There is an air filter assembly comprising an air filter having a closed end and an open end and a reducing coupling. The reducing coupling has a first end with a first engaging member having an external circumference and outer surface, a second end with a second engaging member having an external circumference less than the first engaging member external circumference, and the second engaging member has an inner surface. The first end of the reducing coupling is attached to the open end of the air filter. The air filter assembly is in contact with the housing such that the air filter resides within the housing and the outer surface of the first engaging member engages the housing. The inner surface of the second engaging member is adapted to contact an air intake tube outer surface so that air can pass from the air intake port into the housing then through the air filter and into the air intake tube.

An air cleaner for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a housing having an intake port for suctioning air and an outtake port for supplying the air suctioned through the intake port to an engine system of the vehicle; and an element installed in the housing to filter the air suctioned through the intake port, and the air cleaner further includes an evaporation gas collecting unit installed at an upper part of the inside of the housing to collect evaporation gas.
