The resonating cavity of the source includes: a gain medium; and a tunable filter for selecting a wavelength. The loop comprises: an input coupler; a waveguide; and an output coupler. The input coupler receives the pump and a signal and outputs the pump and the signal into the waveguide In the waveguide, energy in the pump is transferred into energy in the signal while a relative center position of the signal is crossing a center position of the pump in a first direction while both are passing through the waveguide and into the output coupler.     Abstract: Multiuser classification of the modulation schemes of simultaneous multiple unknown transmitters is disclosed. Cooperation among multiple cognitive radio receivers for modulation classification offers improvements in classification performance and overcomes detrimental channel effects that degrade single cognitive radio classifier performance. A centralized soft-combining data fusion algorithm based on the joint probability distribution of fourth order cumulants is presented for cooperative modulation classification. Fourth order cumulants of received signals are calculated as discriminating features for different modulation schemes at each cognitive radio node and sent to a centralized data node. The data node chooses the modulation scheme that maximizes the joint probability of the estimated cumulants.

    Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for rotating equipment, like solar panels, about an axis. Tension and compression members, in a rigid structure, are employed in the apparatus to minimize weight and to maximize stiffness. The rotating equipment is attached to the upper end of a rotatable elongated compression member, rotatably supported at its lower end by a tri-pod base comprising three additional compression members. Six tension members extending up from the tripod base hold a flange through which passes the rotatable elongated compression member. Lateral forces on the rotatable equipment are transmitted to the tripod base through the six tension members. The apparatus is configured such that wind forces and torques on the rotated equipment are transmitted by the apparatus to ground supports. Solar panels supported by the apparatus may be held at a fixed tilt angle, or an additional mechanism may be provided for rotational about a second orthogonal axis.
