Abstract: A method for manufacturing an artificial marble is provided to adjust uniformly and freely the thickness of a product made from the artificial marble. A method for manufacturing an artificial marble includes a step(100) of forming a pattern on a transparent acrylic plate by thermally transferring a pattern sheet onto the transparent acrylic plate; a step(200) of softening the transparent acrylic plate by applying heat to the plate; a step(300) of mounting the softened acrylic plate onto a mold, performing a vacuum suction process and a cooling process for determining the basic shape of a molded product; a step(400) of arranging a cover frame onto the product and pouring a slurry into the resultant structure; a step(500) of solidifying the casted molded product and separating the product from the mold; and a step(600) of leaving the product at the temperature of 70 to 80 degree C for 60 to 180 minutes, and hardening the product.
