PURPOSE: A device for providing a 3D service by interlinking a separately transmitted additional image with a reference image transmitted in real time and a method thereof are provided to form a high definition 3D service by inserting a signaling plan for a reference relation between two images and time information. CONSTITUTION: A real time reference image stream is decoded as a reference image(10) through a reference image generator(130). The real time reference image stream is delivered to a 3D play unit(160). Interlinking information and synchronization information in the real time reference image stream are delivered to a reception and storage unit(150). CONSTITUTION: A device performs a uni-directional motion compensation process if a reference picture of L0 and a reference picture of L1 are same and a motion vector of the L0 and a motion vector of the L1 are same. If no, the device performs a bi-directional motion compensation process. PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for encoding and decoding an ultra high definition resolution image are provided to reduce the calculation complexity by outputting a bitstream using an estimation block of a current block. CONSTITUTION: A prediction unit(810) creates the estimation block of a current block based on a reference image. A subtracting unit creates the difference block through a difference between the estimation block and the current block. An encoding information generating unit(850) creates the encoding information which shows the encoding state of the differential block.

PURPOSE: An intra prediction encoding and decoding method and an intra prediction encoding and decoding apparatus implementing the method are provided to reduce overhead related to mode bit with the selection of a prediction mode through peripheral blocks. CONSTITUTION: A first intra prediction unit(111) respectively calculates the degree of pixel correlation by intra prediction direction between a macroblock and the peripheral blocks of the macroblock. A second intra prediction unit(113) performs the intra prediction of the macroblock with the mode information of the peripheral block in the upper part of the macro block. A third intra prediction unit(115) performs the intra prediction of the brightness component of a current picture. A mode selection unit(117) selects an optimal intra prediction mode.

PURPOSE: An image encoding/decoding apparatus and method are provided to eliminate the use of a memory area necessary to deblocking filtering. CONSTITUTION: If bit stream for the compression of video data is outputted on the basis of the block video information of the video data and the differential signal of the video information, a reverse processing unit(107~109) performs the reverse transformation and reverse quantization of the video information and the addition of the differential signal. A deblocking filler(110) performs the deblocking of the added video information. A reference video buffer(111) stores the video information deblocked by the deblocking filler. One or more prediction units(101,112) performs the video prediction of the video information using the deblocked video information stored in the reference video buffer.

A quantization unit(153) applies integer-type quantization to the multi-dimensionally converted difference image.
