Abstract: A positioning estimation method of a mobile node in a wireless sensor network is provided to construct a location recognition wireless sensor network without using a very minute local oscillator and a separate network sync unit, thereby realizing more accurate location estimation about the mobile node. Frequency tolerance is calculated according to time information and a clock frequency respectively corresponding to fixed node pairs(706). The time information is corrected based on the frequency tolerance and a distance between nodes. A difference of a time when a signal of the mobile node is received is calculated(708). Abstract: A bridge apparatus between a WLAN and a wireless USB network is provided to supply a function for connecting a WLAN access point and wireless USB devices at home or office, supply a WLAN station function and a wireless USB host function, and supply a function for converting a WLAN signal into a WiMedia UWB signal for guaranteeing QoS(Quality of Service), thereby providing a function for connecting the WLAN with the wireless USB network. The wireless USB host MAC unit receives wireless USB link data from the frame buffer, and receives a control signal necessary for an operation of the wireless USB host MAC unit from the controller. The wireless USB host MAC unit converts the received wireless USB link data into wireless USB host MAC data of a wireless USB host MAC data frame form, and transmits the converted data to the UWB physical layer processor. The UWB physical layer processor receives the wireless USB host MAC data from the wireless USB host MAC unit, and receives a control signal necessary for an operation of the UWB physical layer processor from the controller. The UWB physical layer processor converts the received wireless USB host MAC data into a UWB signal of 'WiMedia' for providing a transfer rate of 53.3~480Mbps in 3.1~10.6GHz band, and transmits the converted UWB signal to the UWB antenna.

Abstract: A method for predicting a channel environment in a WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) and reserving transmission time is provided to guarantee stable multimedia transmission by increasing the reliability of data transmission through accurately predicting a channel environment. Starting a data transaction with a receiving station, a transmitting station measures a transmission distance from the receiving station(S402). The transmitting station confirms a data rate corresponding to the measured transmission distance from a predefined table(S403). Then the transmitting station measures the ARSS(Average Received Signal Strength) to determine the final data rate(S404) and compares the ARSS with a URSS(Upper bound RSS) and an LRSS(Lower bound RSS)(S405). If the ARSS is larger than or equal to the URSS, the transmitting station determines the confirmed data rate, obtained from the table, as the final data rate(S406). In case the ARSS is smaller than the URSS and larger than the LRSS, the transmitting station determines a data rate lower than the confirmed data rate as the final data rate(S407). If the ARSS is smaller than or equal to the LRSS, the transmitting station determines the lowest data rate of the table as the final data rate(S408). The transmitting station stores the determined data rate in a DRP(Distributed Reservation Protocol) IE(Information Element) and executes the next DRP reservation according to the determined data rate(S409).

Abstract: A sensing information management device of a sensor-based home network system and a method thereof are provided to collect information about context, occurring in a sensor-based home network, through sensor nodes having complex functions, and to determine optimized context information through adjustment and management of all context information, thereby offering a service suited to user's intention and environment.
