Abstract:
The present invention relates to a flexible MMT packet transmitting method of multiplex layer media data. The flexible MMT packet transmitting method includes the following steps of: generating an MMT asset by performing a capsulation based on a media processing unit (MPU) which is generated based on a media access unit (AU); generating an MMT composition information (MMT-CI) on the MMT asset; generating an MMT packet by packetizing the MMT asset and the MMT-CI; and transmitting the generated MMT packet to a receiving side. The MMT-CI includes dependency information of at least another MMT asset which is different from the MMT asset. According to the present invention, the reception and transmission of multiplex layer media data are able to notify whether an MMT asset is dependent on another MMT asset and supports a smooth decoding of the MMT asset when providing a hybrid transmission-based MMT service.

The metadata of the content can be transmitted to a terminal by being efficiently divided to correspond to the purpose of use of the terminal by using general media information or unique media information. PURPOSE: An MMT payload setting method and a transmitting method thereof are provided to supply signaling mechanism in a band through an MMT delivery hierarchy structure delivering an MMT payload. CONSTITUTION: A system includes necessary information included in an MMT(MPEG Media Transport) payload format in a D-layer header. Provided is an apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving a streaming service. An inter-arrival jitter may correspond to a delay variation in arrival time between TCP packets arriving at an apparatus for receiving the streaming service. The apparatus for receiving the streaming service may determine a de-jitter buffering time to absorb a network jitter before TS packets in a TCP packet is input to a T-STD buffer model. Based on the de-jitter buffering time, an initial playout delay lime at the apparatus for receiving the streaming service may be determined.

The terminal processes the meta data about the specific cycle(620). The terminal extracts information provided through the meta data. The terminal requests a server of segments(630). The server extracts a data part suitable for the requested segments if there is a need to parse a media(640). The server transmits the segments suitable for each request from the terminal to the terminal(650). The terminal approaches to segments of the media based on the information which the meta data provides. The terminal performs decoding and rendering of the media data of the segments.
