SOLUTION: It is possible to provide a heat insulating material 1 of high performance as a binder 3 which is a reinforcing material can be reduced and as a result, an excellent heat insulating characteristic of a urethane aero gel granular body 2 becomes dominant as rigidity is impoved by using a urethane aero gel having high bridged density urethane bonding with the urethane aero gel granular body 2 mixed and solidified with organic polyisosianate as the binder 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve durability and heat insulating performance by mixing a hard urethane foam raw material of continuous foaming type with a thermal decomposition gas generating substance such as azodicarbon amid, and injection- foaming them for generation of a hard urethane foam block of continuous foam structure. CONSTITUTION:A hard urethane foam raw material with which a powder azoji carbon amid is mixed is injection-foamed to obtain a hard urethane foam block 4 of continuous foam structure. When the temperature of a foam center part has lowered sufficiently after the completion of hardening, the surface material 5 of kraft paper is removed, and the hard urethane foam block 4 is cut to a prescribed size to obtain a hard urethane foam panel 8. The hard urethane foam panel 8 is then decompressed to the thermal decomposition temperature of the azoji carbon amid to be dried. It is sheathed with metal-laminate film 3 together with an absorbing agent, and its inside is decomposed and sealed to obtain a heat insulating element.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an inner pressure from increasing by sheathing, with a housing agent, a core material consisting of hard urethane foam of continuous foaming structure, high molecular compound which has carboxyl group or hydroxyl group in a molecular structure as an absorption substance, and an absorption element including a carbon oxide absorption agent. CONSTITUTION:This heat insulating element 1 sheathes hard urethane foam 2 of continuous foam structure and an absorption element 4 with a sheathing agent 3 consisting of metallic plastic and depresses and seals its inside. In the absorption element 4, activated carbon is added as an organic gas absorption substance, silica alumina compound is added as a carbon oxide absorption substance, and organic compound which has carboxyl group or hydroxyl group as an oxygen absorption substance. The absorption element 4 is charged in a bag 5 consisting of polyproplylene unwoven paper in advance. It is thus possible to ensure long-term heat insulation for preventing inner pressure from increasing by selectively-absorbing oxygen gas which enters from the outside.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-insulating box body excellent in heat-insulating property, impact resistance, appearance, deformation resistance, etc., and useful for refrigerators, freezing chambers, etc., by packing a specific urethane foam between both boxes of an inner box obtained by molding a specific resin composition and an outer box made of a metal. CONSTITUTION:This heat-insulating box body 7 is obtained by expanding and packing a rigid urethane foam 5 adding 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexa-fluoropropane as a foaming agent and >=0.5 pts.wt. of water as an auxiliary foaming agent between both boxes of an inner box 6 made of a resin and an outer box 3 made of a metal. In this heat-insulating box body, the inner box 6 is obtained by molding a resin composition having high nitrile content, obtained by mixing (A) a graft copolymer obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene-based synthetic rubber with 30-50wt.% of vinyl cyanide and 70-50wt.% of an aromatic vinyl with (B) a copolymer of 30-50wt.% of vinyl cyanide and 70-50wt.% of aromatic vinyl and (C) an acrylate rubber having a 2-4C alkyl and coated with the component B.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title material which does not suffer from a dispersion of density due to, e.g. the separation of a blowing agent, and has a quality equivalent to that of a heat-insulation material prepared by using a conventional halohydrocarbon as the blowing agent even when an aliphatic or cyclic hydrocarbon poorly compatible with a polyol as the raw material of a urethane resin is used as the blowing agent and contributes the solution of the environmental problem of ozonosphere depletion. CONSTITUTION:The title material is prepared by mixing under agitation a polyol component containing at least 5% polyether polyol, obtained by the addition polymerization of ethylenediamine with an alkylene oxide, with an organic polyisocyanate, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst and a blowing agent consisting of at least an aliphatic or cyclic hydrocarbon of a boiling point of 80 deg.C or below, and the title box is made by packing the above material into the space between the inner and outer boxes by in-situ foaming.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the dangerousness of explosion by foaming a foamable heat insulating material while supplying inert gas from the gas vent part provided to a jig. CONSTITUTION:A box object consisting of inner and outer boxes 1,2 is arranged in a jig 3 and a hard urethane foam raw material containing cyclopentane as a foaming agent is injected into the box object from an injection port 4 and foamed to fill the box object with a heat insulating material 5. A gas vent part 6 for removing existing air and the foaming agent generated as gas to the outside of the jig 3 is provided to the foaming and filling final part of the outer box 2 and the jig 3. When the hard urethane foam raw material is injected in the gap part between the inner and outer boxes 1,2 from the injection port 4, a part of the air and foaming agent preliminarily present in the gap part is leaked to the outside from the gas vent part 6. At this time, by supplying nitrogen gas from a gas supply port 7, the conc. of cyclopentane can be suppressed to 1.4% or less of a lower explosion limit and the concn. of oxygen in the circumferential atmosphere is lowered.
