Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow the user of a radiotelephony equipment to save a talking charge by allowing a talking unit to apply information display of elapsed time during talking or its relevant information. CONSTITUTION:When an automobile with a radiotelephony equipment mounted on enters the service zone of the public automobile telephone system, a detection output Qns of a data detection section 52 changes from a high to a low level. When the talking state is acquired a little later, a display data Di is sent from a control block 34 and display 45 representing the talking state is given. A detection output signal Qiu obtained from the data detection section 52 attended therewith changes from a low to a high level. Thus, an output signal Qu of an AND gate 54 changes from a low to a high level. Since an output signal Qa is fed to an enable terminal E of a counter 56, the counter 56 starts counting a clock pulse Pc and a count output signal Qc is fed to a data generating section 59. An output data Dx of a data generation section 59 is supplied to a display section 46 and a changing time in following to the content of the count output signal Qc represented by the data Dx is displayed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue recording or reproducing data while securing continuity in the data even when abnormalities happen in recording or reproducing operations such as track jumps.
SOLUTION: If an abnormality detector 30 detects a track jump when recording data on an optical disc 2, data read to the memory 14 is stopped until the operation returns normal based on the detected track jump. When the read is resumed to memory 14, data are recorded on an optical disc 2 seamlessly over the stop time caused by the track jump based on the recording position control of the optical disc 2 by a system controller 7. When reproducing, the data are reproduced from the optical disc 2 continuously regardless of the points of record stop and start.

When the pause is released, the reading operation from the memory 22 is resumed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly identify and process L and R channels by adding identifiers to identify either even sectors or odd sectors to the sectors to be stored and storing these sectors in accordance with the results of discrimination as to whether the stored sectors are the even sectors or the odd sectors. SOLUTION: A memory controller 12 outputs a channel identification signal in order to enable an encoder/decoder section 14 to identify that a sound frame of the two sectors is L channel data at a ratio of once per two sector. For example, the controller emits the channel identification signal at the output timing of the top sound frame of the even sector and has this signal recognized with the L channel by the encoder/decoder section 14. At this time, this identification signal is not outputted in the odd sector. Then, the sound frame is known to be the sound frame of the L channel data captured at the time the identification signal is supplied in the decoder section 14 and thereafter, the processing is successively executed as the R, L and R channels by every sound frame to be captured thereafter and, therefore, the erroneous processing of L as R does not occur.
