A massage device and method of massaging a user comprises providing a massage device having a surface which defines an internal cavity. A plurality of pressure point protrusions are formed on at least a part of the surface of the massage device. The internal cavity is filled with a medium in the form of water. The massage device and the water contained in the internal cavity are heated so that the temperature of the heated massage device in combination with the pressure point protrusions provide an enhanced therapeutic benefit.

Ein Überzug (1) für eine Extremität des menschlichen Körpers, insbesondere Fussüberzug, umfasst eine Hülle (2), die aus einem dehnbaren Material gebildet ist und den entsprechenden Körperteil anliegend umspannt. An der inneren Oberfläche (3) der Hülle (2) sind noppenartige Vorsprünge (4) zur Stimulierung von Reflexzonen angebracht. Die Hülle (2) besteht aus einem gummiartigen elastischen Material, in welchen die noppenartigen Vorsprünge (4) eingeformt sind. Die noppenartigen Vorsprünge (4) decken in über den Körperteil gezogenen Zustand die Reflexzonen ab, die noppenartigen Vorsprünge (4) weisen in unterschiedlichen Reflexzonen unterschiedliche Grössen auf. Dadurch wird eine optimale Stimulierung der Reflexzonen erreicht.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur sensorischen Vermittlung von Umwelteindrücken an einen Benutzer (10), mit einer begehbaren Trittfläche (1), die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass eine handhaltbare Tastfläche (3) vorhanden ist, wobei die Tastfläche (3) zur Trittfläche (1) in geometrischem Sinne ähnlich ist.

Die Tamponanordnung (1) umfasst einen Tampon (2) und einen darin angeordneten Vibrationserzeuger (3) sowie eine durch ein Verbindungselement (5) mit dem vibrationserzeuger (3) verbundenen, ausserhalb des Körpers der die Anordnung benutzenden Person zu tragenden Energiequelle (7). Das Verbindungselement (5) ist als flexibles Element zur Übertragung mechanischer Energie ausgebildet. Dadurch wird eine vibrierende Tamponanordnung zur Verfügung gestellt, bei der kein elektrischer Strom zum Tampon und damit in den Körper der die Tamponanordnung (1) benutzenden Person geleitet wird.
