Abstract:
A self-cleaning filter including a filter housing (2) having at least a raw-liquid inlet (4), a clean-liquid outlet (6), and a filter medium (8) interposed between the raw-liquid inlet and the clean-liquid outlet, has at least one nozzle (10) which is located in proximity to the filter medium (8) and is connectable to at least two different sources of pressure (HP,LP), one of which pressures is higher than the pressure prevailing in the filter, the other one being lower than the pressure prevailing in the filter. There is also provided an arrangement (16,18,20,22) to produce a relative movement between the filter medium (8) and the at least one nozzle (10) to effect coverage of a substantial part of the surface area of the filter medium by the nozzle.
Abstract:
There is provided a fluid filter system cleanable by suction. The system comprises a filter element fixedly attached to a substantially rigid filter-element support mounted in a filter housing and provided with a plurality of openings, at least one suction nozzle having an inlet opening located in close proximity to the filter element and adapted to move with its inlet opening past the filter element in such a way as to cover, in succession, at least some zones of the filter element while producing a suction flow. The invention further comprises guide means for guiding a fluid stream from the high-pressure raw-fluid space of the filter housing to a low-pressure zone created by the suction nozzle between the inlet opening thereof and that portion of the filter-element support which faces the suction nozzle.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of controlling a laundry treating machine including a tub (120) to receive wash water, a drum (130) rotatably provided in the tub (120), an air supply device (160) circulating air along an air circulation path to supply air to the tub (120), a lint filter (162) positioned in the air circulation path to filter lint from the air circulated by the air supply device (160), a filter cleaning unit (200) to supply cleaning water to the lint filter (162) to remove the lint from the lint filter (162), a wash water supply unit (170, 172, 180) to supply the wash water to the tub (120), and a cleaning water supply unit (170, 174, 202) to supply the cleaning water to the filter cleaning unit (202), the laundry treating machine is configured to perform a washing cycle, a rinsing cycle, a spin-drying cycle and a drying cycle. The method comprises: supplying the wash water by the wash water supply unit (170, 172, 180) during the washing cycle and the rinsing cycle; and supplying the cleaning water to the filter cleaning unit (200) by the cleaning water supply unit (170, 174, 202) during the drying cycle, wherein the supplying of the cleaning water is performed independently of the supplying of the wash water.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a laundry machine, comprising: a tub (120) for receiving wash water; a drum (130) rotatably provided in the tub (120); an air supply device (160) provided at an upper part of the tub (120) for heating air discharged from the tub (120) and introducing the heated air into the tub (120); and a cooling water supply device (300) to supply cooling water to a rear inner surface of the tub (120) such that the rear inner surface of the tub (120) forms a condensing surface to generate condensed water.
Abstract:
A screen intake apparatus for a water intake system uses a cleaning system to clean one or more screen intakes. To clean debris from a screen, pipes in the interior of the screen receive pumped liquid ( e.g ., water or incompressible liquid) from a pump. Outlets, such as apertures or nozzles, on the pipes then direct the pumped liquid into the interior of the screen. One or more valves can vary, agitate, or pulse the flow of pumped fluid and/or can selectively deliver the pumped liquid to the pipes to remove collected debris from the exterior of the screen. A heater of the system can also heat the pumped liquid for delivery to the pipes to remove or prevent ice formation on the screen.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dewatering device comprising a drum screen arranged for rotational movement inside a housing, means arranged to supply medium to be dewatered, means to remove from the drum screen interior material retained therein, and means for removal of water passing through the drum screen. In accordance with the invention the drum screen is formed with a number of axial carrier protrusions and the devices for removal of material retained inside the drum screen (2) consist of an upwardly open material discharge duct extending the lengthwise direction of the drum screen at the upper part thereof for reception, upon rotation of the drum screen, of material lifted by said carrier protrusions, in addition to which means are provided above the material discharge duct (16) for flushing thereof from the exterior of the drum screen.
