Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition in which a base oil biodegradable by microorganisms in nature and having affinity for human bodies is selected as a lubricating base oil. SOLUTION: A distillation residue secondarily generated when biodiesel produced from a vegetable oil and fat (oil and fat extracted from soybean oil and rapeseed oil) is produced as a lubricating base oil is utilized as the base oil for the grease composition. The grease composition is produced by mixing 5-95 wt.% of the distillation residue generated during production of the biodiesel with 1-50 wt.% of a thickener and 1-20 wt.% of an additive. Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of ionic liquids for production of water-resistant lubricating grease compositions, which are used in a temperature range from at least 30° C. to at least 180° C. and have good anticorrosion properties.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition for use in resin lubrication which improves the lubrication state of resins against resins, or resins against different materials such as metals. SOLUTION: This grease composition for use in resin lubrication is produced by incorporating into a grease base material containing a base oil and a thickener of a fatty acid metal salt, a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid, and/or a fatty acid metal salt (excluding the fatty acid metal salt used as the thickener). Carbon atoms of the saturated or unsaturated fatty acid are preferably 8-22. The fatty acid metal salt is a metal salt of a linear saturated fatty acid having 8-14 carbon atoms, or a metal salt of an unsaturated fatty acid, the number of an unsaturated group of which is 1-4, having 16-22 carbon atoms, and the metal has preferably 1-4 valence. The saturated or unsaturated fatty acid, and/or the fatty acid metal salt are used singly or in combination. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

Abstract:
In a particular embodiment, the invention concerns a lubricating grease having 70 to 95 percent by weight of a mixture that includes at least a first ester of fatty acid and of sorbitan, and at least a second ester of fatty acid and of polyoxyalkylated sorbitan. The esters are present in quantities by weight, relative to the weight of the mixture, of 10 to 90 percent and 90 to 10 percent respectively. The grease also includes from 5 to 30 percent by weight of at least one thickening agent.
Abstract:
A grease-like silicone composition comprising at least (A) a liquid organopolysiloxane comprising 80 to 96.5 mol% of siloxane units represented by the formula R2SiO2/2, 1.0 to 10.0 mol% of siloxane units represented by the formula RSiO3/2, and 0.25 to 10.0 mol% of siloxane units represented by the formula R3SiO1/2 (in the formulas, R stands for identical or different monovalent hydrocarbon groups) and (B) a thickening agent is disclosed. A grease-like silicone composition can be provided that is capable of containing a large amount of thickening agents and possesses superior heat resistance.
