Abstract:
The invention relates to a hinge comprising a moveable hinge section and a hinge section consisting of a fixed stop section, which are interconnected by at least one joint axis, and comprising a damping device mounted on one of the hinge sections whose translationally or rotatably moveable damping member is acted upon at least in the closure region of the hinge via gear means from the other hinge section. According to the invention for adjustment of the moveable damping member depending on the tilt of the moveable hinge section relative to the at least one joint axis, there is provided at least three moveable gear members are provided, of which one is the damping member itself.
Abstract:
An opening/closing device (1) is described in the form of an articulated pentalateral with two centres of rotation (17,18) connected to each other by means of gears, able to open/close a flap door (2) of an item of furniture (3) and comprising a support (4) to which are hinged at least a first and a second arm (5, 6) coupled to each other by means of two toothed areas (7, 8) formed on the outer surfaces of the ends of the first arm (5) and of the second arm (6), which are hinged to the support (4) by means of pivots which form the above centres of rotation (17, 18). One end of the element (9) which carries the flap door (2) is hinged to the other end of the second arm (6) by means of a pivot forming the axis of rotation (11) of the flap door (2): on opening of the flap door (2) the second arm (6) is made to rotate towards the outside of the item of furniture (3) by rotation of the first arm (5), shifting the axis of rotation (11) of the flap door (2) towards the outside of the item of furniture (3) and allowing opening thereof even if the flap door (2), when closed, is superimposed on the upper part of the frame of the item of furniture (3).
Abstract:
A pocket door system for the suspension of a pocket door within an entertainment cabinet or the like is shown with a rack and pinion guide associated with each pocket door slide and a synchronization shaft for transmittal of the actuation of one pocket door slide to the other, and where the installation of the pocket door slide and rack and pinion guide are integral to each other and also provide an improved alignment methods.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an overhead door closer with slide arm assembly (1) having a toothed pinion (6) that is eccentrically supported and presents a circular rolling curve, which pinion meshes with a toothed rack (5) arranged at a piston (4). The invention concentrates on a particular embodiment of the rolling curve and of the teeth (9) of the toothed rack (5) in adaptation to a toothing of the pinion (6). Furthermore, the invention concentrates on an improved embodiment of the delayed closing operation in order to achieve an optimized movement pattern of the piston (4) within the housing (2) of the overhead door closer with slide arm assembly (1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an electromechanical swing leaf operator having a door closer (1) with an eccentrically supported pinion (6) that presents a circular rolling curve and meshes with a toothed rack (5) being disposed at a piston (4), whereby a particular execution of the rolling curve and of the teeth (9) of the toothed rack (5) in adaptation to a toothing of the pinion (6) is achieved. With the intention to realize an optimized moving course of the piston (4) in the housing (2) of the door closer (1) an improved execution of the delayed closing operation is provided.
Abstract:
A reinforcing block for a closure tilt latch, comprising a body fastened in a closure track fastened to a frame, said body having a top and bottom and having a locking detent extending therein said locking detent providing a vertical face extending toward said top of said body from intermediate said top and bottom, the tilt latch being compatible with the vertical face of said locking detent, wherein when said latch engages said detent said block provides a reinforcement path to the closure frame to strengthen the loading capability of said closure and to reduce the risk of the latch from disengaging said track under loading which track would be subject to distortion had the block not been utilized.
Abstract:
A universal power operator for shifting a movable barrier, such as a gate, and a circuit control system for operation thereof, is shown that allows the operator to be assembled for both a left-hinged or right-hinged movable barrier. The universal power operator includes generally an actuator arm, a housing assembly, a gear assembly, and a modular drive motor. The housing assembly contains generally symmetrical portions allowing the user to interchangeably assemble the motor in one of two positions for use with a left-hinged or right-hinged movable barrier.
Abstract:
This sliding sash drive assembly includes a rack gear for the sash and a drive unit adapted to be mounted on the window frame and having a driven spur gear. An L-shaped engagement lever is mounted at its vertex on the housing and carries on its short leg a rack guide adapted to embrace the rack gear so that, as the long leg of the lever is moved, the guide moves the rack to a position at which the rack meshes with the spur.
Abstract:
A drive apparatus, in particular for the automatic actuation of a sliding door of a motor vehicle, comprising a fast running motor, the motor shaft of which is connected to a transmission with a large step-down ratio, the transmission having a first gear wheel which can be secured against rotation, via a releasable blocking device, and a second rotatable gear wheel which is rotationally fixedly connected to an output drive shaft and which is rotatable relative to the first gear wheel by the rotation of the motor when the first gear wheel is blocked, with the number of teeth of the first gear wheel only differing by a few teeth from the number of teeth of the second gear wheel and with the large step-down ratio being determined by this difference of the tooth numbers. By releasing the blocking device, the step-down ratio of the transmission changes. In particular a step-down ratio of 1:1 results. The transmission is thereby capable of being driven in reverse, so that a manual actuation of the sliding door of a motor vehicle is possible, without the requirement for a releasable clutch device between the sliding door and the drive apparatus.
Abstract:
An actuation device for motor vehicle parts that are movable by an electric motor, in particular for window regulators and sliding roofs that are driven by a reversible electric motor. This actuation device has a setpoint value device for the desired position of the movable part, an incremental actual-value device for producing a signal corresponding to the actual position of the movable part, an absolute actual value device which emits first and second signals that are positionally fixed relative to the incremental actual-value device, and a microprocessor to compare the setpoint and actual value signals and to perform control and regulation programs. The signal emitted by the absolute actual-value device changes only at predetermined position values and the absolute actual-value device has position zones which are separated from one another by these position values that can be predetermined. The first and last position zones are each defined by a first or second end position of the movable part. The absolute actual-value device has at least five separate position zones and emits the first signal in the first and last position zone, and the first and last position zone are wider than all other position zones in which the absolute actual value device emits the first signal.
