Exemplary embodiments relate to unique structures for robotic end-of-arm-tools (EOATs). According to some embodiments, two or more fingers or actuators may be present on an EOAT, and the actuators may be connected to a hub through one or more sets of pivots attached to linkages that allow the distances between the pivots to be varied. Compared to conventional EOATs, exemplary embodiments increase the range of motion of the actuators, improve grip posture, boost gripping force, and balance the loads on the actuators.

A tubular connecting arrangement includes, a first tubular having a first shoulder and first threads, a second tubular having a second shoulder and second threads, a seal sealingly engagable to both the first shoulder and the second shoulder, an insert and a sleeve. The insert is attachable to the second tubular and configured to provide radial support to the second tubular. The sleeve threadably engagable with both the first threads and the second threads in response to being rotated in a same direction relative to both the first tubular and the second tubular such that the first shoulder and the second shoulder are moved toward one another to compress the seal therebetween without rotational movement of the first tubular relative to the second tubular.

A riser connector assembly (6) for connecting two riser sections (5a,b) in an end-to-end relationship comprises a first connector assembly portion (6a), a second connector assembly portion (6b), and a locking ring (11) rotatably connected to the first connector assembly portion. Locking members are configured and arranged to selectively and releasably interlock by relative rotation between the first connector assembly portion and the locking ring and the second connector assembly portion. The locking ring (11) is rotatable between a first position where all said locking members are interlocked, a second position where the first locking members (20, 21) and the third locking members (25, 26) are interlocked but the second locking members (19) and the fourth locking members (24) not interlocked, and a third position where none of said locking members are interlocked and the locking ring is removable from the first connector assembly portion. At least one of the assembly portions (6a,b) comprises alignment means (27).

Underground drilling operation often requires connecting a drill tool (e.g., drill bit, backreamer, etc.) to a drill string. It is desirable to connect the drill tools to a drill string in a manner that facilitates quick and easy assembly and disassembly. Low torque coupling, commonly referred to as "torque-less" connection, can provide such functionality. The useful life and strength of such connections can be improved upon. The present disclosure provides a low torque coupling with improved strength and durability.

A high torque polymer fittings useful in fluid handling systems. The fittings are especially useful for fluid handling fittings having diameters of one inch or greater. Various embodiments of the fittings disclosed accommodate specialized wrenches for securing the fittings, the wrenches being used to tighten the fittings to a desired torque.

The pin (2) and the box (3) each have a contact surface (21), (31) that has a thread portion (22), (32) and an unthreaded metal contact portion (23), (33). The contact surface (21) of the pin (2) includes a photocured coating (25) as an uppermost layer. The photocured coating (25) contains a photocurable resin and perfluoropolyether. The contact surface (31) of the box (3) includes a solid lubricating coating (35) as an uppermost layer.
