Les déformations, responsables d'erreurs de mesure et dues soit à des déformations statiques, produites par le poids ou une mauvaise construction de l'appareillage, soit par des vibrations, sont dans une large mesure éliminées.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Werkzeugmaschine, insbesondere Schleifmaschine, und ein Verfahren zur Vermessung eines Werkstücks in einer Werkzeugmaschine. Die Werkzeugmaschine kann eine Werkstückaufnahme (14), eine Werkzeugeinheit (28), eine Messeinrichtung (48) und eine Steuereinrichtung (56) aufweisen, die mit der Messeinrichtung (48) und der Werkzeugeinheit (28)koppelbar ist, wobei die Messeinrichtung (48) an der Werkzeugeinheit (28) aufgenommen ist und zumindest einen Schaltmesskopf (66; 68) aufweist wobei der zumindest eine Schaltmesskopf (66; 68) an einem Trägerstück (80) aufgenommen ist, das eine Mehrzahl von definierten Soll-Lagen für den zumindest einen Schaltmesskopf (66; 68) bereitstellt, und wobei die Steuereinrichtung (56) dazu ausgebildet ist, durch den zumindest einen Schaltmesskopf (66; 68) beim Antasten eines Werkstücks (96) ausgelöste Signale zu erfassen und anhand einer Ist-Lage der Werkzeugeinheit (28) eine Ist-Position des zumindest einen Schaltmesskopfes (66; 68) zu ermitteln.

A stylus support carries a stylus having a stylus tip for following a workpiece surface which rotates relative to the stylus support. A transducer senses a displacement of the stylus tip as follows the surface. A support structure includes a mounting arm and an attitude arm carrying the stylus support and mounted to the mounting arm by a kinematic coupling so as to be moveable between the first attitude in which a stylus extends in a first direction and a second attitude in which the stylus extends in a direction transverse to the first, the movement being substantially centred at the stylus tip. The coupling comprises protrusions and recesses provided on opposing faces of the attitude and mounting arms, the protrusions and recesses being configured to cooperate to constrain relative motion of the opposing faces when the attitude arm is moved into one of the first and second attitudes.

A calibration device for gauges for the measurement of the geometrical characteristics of cylinders, such as the diameter, profile, rotundity and eccentricity errors, wherein said gauges comprise a pair of movable opposing arms (49) equipped with feelers or sensors (51) at the free ends, characterized in that said calibration device (30) comprises a pair of abutments (34, 35) reciprocally approachable and/or withdrawable by means of motors (36, 37) until a sample measure is obtained, as desired, within the measuring range of the gauge on which said calibration device is assembled, revealed by means of measur- ing means (42, 43; 44, 45) cooperating with said abutments (34, 35), consequently said feelers or sensors (51) are respectively abut or approached to said abutments (34, 35) to reveal said sample measure.

During use, a wheel of a railway vehicle may become out of round, which will be detrimental to both the vehicle suspension and the railway track. The shape of such a wheel may be monitored to detect any such out of roundness, while the wheel is rolling, by measuring how far the flange of the wheel projects below the upper surface of the rail. This may be achieved by mounting a rigid bar (24) alongside the rail (10), the bar (24) being supported resiliently so as to be depressed by a flange of a wheel (40), and by measuring the vertical displacement of the bar. The bar (24) may be supported by a plurality of flat leaf springs (26), which are inclined to the horizontal at for example 30 DEG . This ensures that the bar (24) remains substantially parallel to the top surface of the rail (10) when depressed by the flange of a wheel (40).

An apparatus for checking dimensions and other geometrical features of pieces like shafts (20) or bushings (120) comprises support and reference devices (21; 110) for the piece, and checking devices (40; 70; 100; 119). Modular elements (5), equal to one another, are secured to two longitudinal cylindrical bars (1, 2) arranged one over the other. Linear guide portions (7) of the modular elements lie transversally, parallel to one another, and both the support and reference devices (21; 110) and the checking devices (40; 70; 100; 119) are adjustably connected to the linear guide portions (7). The checking devices comprise integral structures with movable arms (45; 73; 129) that touch the piece to be checked, and gauging heads (50, 85, 101, 134) actuated by the movable arms.
