Abstract:
A participant in a three dimensional computer-generated virtual environment is able to control a dispersion pattern of his Avatar's voice such that the Avatar's voice may be directionally enhanced using simple controls. The audio dispersion envelope is designed to extend further in front of the Avatar and less to the sides and rear of the Avatar. The audio dispersion envelope may be static or controllable by the participant to enable the distance that the Avatar's voice travels within the virtual environment to be adjusted. This enables the Avatar to whisper or “shout” in the virtual environment such that other Avatars normally outside of hearing range of the Avatar may selectively receive audio generated by the user. Separate audio streams are mixed for each user from audio generated by users with Avatars within their Avatar's dispersion envelope. The volume of audio from a user in the mixed audio stream depends on the separation of the Avatars within the virtual environment.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Colorful Ring Back Tone (CRBT) copying method, the method comprises: a calling mobile terminal initiating a call to a called mobile terminal and receiving a Ring Back Tone (RBT) sent by the CRBT service center; the mobile communication network authenticating it after receiving a CRBT copying request; if the authentication is passed, copying the RBT being currently played to a ring database of the calling mobile terminal and keeping playing the RBT until off-hook or on-hook; otherwise, keeping playing until off-hook or on-hook. The present invention relates to another CRBT copying method, the method comprises: a calling mobile terminal initiating a call to a called mobile terminal and receiving a RBT sent by the CRBT service center; the mobile communication network authenticating it after receiving a CRBT copying request; if the authentication is not passed, keeping playing the RBT until off-hook or on-hook; if the authentication is passed, enquiring the calling mobile terminal whether the copying should be taken; if it chooses to copy, copying the RBT being currently played to the ring database and keeping playing until off-hook or on-hook; otherwise, keeping playing until off-hook or on-hook.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to telecommunications, and more specifically, to an improved operating system and apparatus for telecommunications networks. Currently, the majority of telecommunication services are provided over the Public Switched Telephone Network and Internet. Existing telephony systems suffer from a number of problems including system complexity, limited access and implementation of services on fixed hardware, which results in long time to bring new products to market. Internet applications cannot guarantee quality of service in the transmission. These systems are therefore inflexible and inefficient which limits their ability to carry new services. The invention provides a distributed and real-time operating system for use over varied telecommunications networks. As well, methods of implementing synchronized execution, fault tolerance and loading management over this network, are also described. The application of this operating system to existing networks allows new services to be provided.
Abstract:
The present disclosure discloses a system and a method for automatic call synchronization. When a mobile terminal receives a called signal from a calling mobile terminal and determines that an automatic call synchronization function is enabled by itself, the mobile terminal transmits, to a wireless signal transponder, a call synchronization request which carries identification information and call information of the mobile terminal; a mode recognition unit which is connected to the wireless signal transponder performs an authentication on the mobile terminal according to the identification information of the mobile terminal; and transmits a call access request which carries the identification information and the call information of the mobile terminal to the fixed terminal via the wireless signal transponder, after the authentication on the mobile terminal is passed; the fixed terminal calls a user of the mobile terminal according to the identification information and the call information; and transmits a call access response to the wireless signal transponder when it is determined that the user of the mobile terminal answers the call with the fixed terminal, and completes communication for the call over a network connected between the calling mobile terminal and the fixed terminal. As such, phone charge may be saved, and call synchronization may be performed automatically, which have flexibility and convenience, and bring convenience to the user.
Abstract:
The method comprising establishing a connection between a mobile device with one or more remote devices through a remote server to share data; receiving presence information about any of said mobile device or remote devices; synchronizing said data to be shared, between said mobile device and said one or more remote devices, based upon said presence information received, wherein said synchronizing is performed by triggering said remote server a set of notification events according to said presence information. By means of an event filter engine and in order to allow said data sharing, said set of notification events are filtered to select any of said mobile device or remote devices that will receive a filtered notification event. The system of the invention is adapted to implement the method of the invention.
Abstract:
A user status may be updated at one of a plurality of network entities associated with a user. Through communication between the network entity on which the update has been made and a central server, an indication of the status update may be transmitted, by the central server, to the other network entities associated with the user.
Abstract:
Method for setting substitute ringback tone of calling party to be identical with that of called party. A substitute ringback tone playing server 30 in the system checks whether there is a certain key input or key input stream from the calling party requesting of bringing substitute ringback tone of the called party. Responding to the request, a bringing server 70 sets the substitute ringback tone code of the calling party stored in a playing control server 40 as that of the called party. A user interface server 50 allows a user to select a substitute ringback tone among multiple tones stored in a database 62 to give to another person as a present.
