Abstract:
A method of driving a nonvolatile memory device including applying a reset voltage to a unit memory cell, reading a reset current of the unit memory cell, confirming whether the reset current is within a first current range, if the reset current is not within the first current range, changing the reset voltage and applying a changed reset voltage or applying again the reset voltage to the unit memory cell after applying a set voltage to the unit memory cell, if the reset current is within the first current range, confirming whether a difference between the present reset current and an immediately previous set current is within a second current range, and, if the difference is not within the second current range, applying the reset voltage or applying again the reset voltage to the unit memory cell after applying a set voltage to the unit memory cell.
Abstract:
An electrophoretic display (EPD) device and a method of manufacturing the EPD are disclosed. An EPD device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and an electrophoretic layer. The first substrate includes a plurality of pixel areas, and each pixel area includes a first electrode. The second substrate faces the first substrate and includes a second electrode to form an electric field with the first electrode and a color filter corresponding to the first electrode. The electrophoretic layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and is controlled by an electric field formed by the first electrode and the second electrode to display an image. An end portion of the color filter extends beyond an end portion of the first electrode.
Abstract:
A framework for aggregating updates for individual modules into an update for a containing module is disclosed. The containing module may be an entire program or workflow, for example. The updates may include changes to the contract of a module. Embodiments of the invention further provide a framework for detecting when changes to an inner module are incompatible with changes to the containing module.
Abstract:
A digital broadcast receiver is disclosed. The receiver includes a network interface configured to receive provisioning information from a service provider during SP (Service Provider) attachment, wherein the provisioning information has both first metadata on EPG provider information giving locations where EPG data from an EPG data provider can be accessed and second metadata on EPG data locator giving a location where EPG data can be accessed in a pull mode or a push mode, the first metadata having both a target service ID element giving the identifier of a service, which is covered by each of the EPG data provider's EPG data sources, and a type of target services element giving a type of service, which is covered by each of the EPG data provider's EPG data sources, and a controller configured to perform a services discovery procedure using service discovery metadata including at least two components supplied by the service provider.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an air cleaner, and more particularly to an air cleaner which includes a regenerative deodorizing filter to purify and treat gaseous substances contained in air, thus enabling efficient regeneration of the regenerative deodorizing filter, and a method of regenerating the filter of the air cleaner.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an error voltage generation circuit, a switch control circuit, and a power factor corrector. The error voltage generation circuit generates an error voltage using an error input voltage corresponding to an output voltage of a power factor corrector and a soft start voltage. The error voltage generation circuit samples an error input voltage at an AC input supply time point of the power factor corrector and holes a sampling voltage according to the sampled error input voltage during a soft start period. The error voltage generation circuit generates a soft start voltage increasing from a start voltage corresponding to the sampling voltage. The switch control circuit controls a duty of a power switch of the power factor corrector using the error voltage.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a laminate structure generator, and a stacking method and apparatus for a secondary cell. The laminate structure generator includes a first hand including a first palm and a first finger extending from the first palm, and a second hand including a second palm and a second finger extending from the second palm. At least one the first hand and the second hand is moved in a direction of separating from the other. The laminate structure generator is capable of reducing manufacturing time of a secondary cell.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing a multicast/broadcast service in a mobile communication system. Upon detecting an occurrence of a multicast data packet, an Internet Protocol (IP) terminal converts the multicast data packet into an alternative multicast data packet, and transmits the alternative multicast data packet to a femto Node B. Upon detecting an occurrence of a broadcast data packet, the IP terminal converts the broadcast data packet into an alternative broadcast data packet, and transmits the alternative broadcast data packet to the femto Node B.
Abstract:
A method of associating a mobile station to a base station in a wireless communication system comprises transmitting to a serving base station a scanning request message comprising an association indicator. The method also comprises receiving from the serving base station a scanning response message comprising a rendezvous time associated with a neighboring base station for initiating ranging with the neighboring base station, wherein the serving base station communicates an association notification to the neighboring base station, the association notification comprising the rendezvous time. The method also comprises associating with the neighboring base neighboring base station by transmitting a ranging request after passing of the rendezvous time determined from a transmission time of the scanning response message from the neighboring base station, wherein the rendezvous time is associated with a time the neighboring base station is expected to provide a non-contention based ranging opportunity for the mobile station.
