Abstract:
A method and system for inter-destination synchronization of at least a first and a second stream is described, wherein the second stream is the output stream of a media stream modification unit using the first stream as an input stream. The method comprises the steps of: providing first arrival time information of a packet in the first stream arriving at a first synchronization point and second arrival time information of a packet in the second stream arriving at a second synchronization point; providing synchronization correlation information on the synchronicity relationship between said input stream and said output stream; and, calculating delay information on the basis of the first and second arrival time information and the synchronization correlation information.
Abstract:
Material jet system, comprising a container for molten jet material (3) to be ejected, heating means (4) e.g. arranged for induction heating, for melting and/or keeping molten said jet material, and jetting means (5, 6, 7) which are arranged to form and eject droplets (8) of said jet material. The system, moreover, comprises means (2) which are arranged for an uninterrupted supply of said material, e.g. a metal, in solid form (1), which preferably have the shape of a wire, bar or tape. Overflow means (9) may be arranged to provide that contaminations floating upon the molten jet material runs over in a waste reservoir (10). Control means (14) may provide that, in order to remove the contaminations, the supply of the solid material is increased temporarily, causing that the floating contamination runs over in the waste reservoir. A valve (11) may be closed when detaching the waste reservoir. Level monitoring means (13, 14) may monitor the molten material maximum and minimum level in the container.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control activation of at least one terminal in a machine-type communication using a wireless access network.SOLUTION: The wireless access network comprises a number of location areas, each of which comprises a plurality of cells. The terminal has been assigned an identifier. First, a location identifier is received from a location provider. The location identifier indicates a subset of cells of at least one of the location areas. Activation of the at least one terminal is then controlled by transmitting at least one broadcast message on at least one cell broadcast channel in the cells of the subset indicated by the location identifier. The broadcast message contains the identifier or identifier part assigned to the terminal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of applying soft-kill deployment to mislead an incoming missile (12) directed to a mother platform (10). The method comprises the step of predicting a number of miss distances (M) associated with corresponding particular decoy launch parameter sets. Further, the method comprises the step of selecting a decoy parameter set having an optimal predicted miss distance (M). The method also comprises the step of transmitting the selected decoy parameter set to a launch unit (1) for launching the decoy (14). Here, the predicting step includes the use of an adjoint algorithm.
