    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can impart higher water repellancy by dispersing finely divided particles which can impart fine irreguralities to a surface after curing a coating which contains the particles into a solution which contains a resin compound which gives the surface of the coating after application, drying, and curing a contact angle with water of 90 deg. or above. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is obtained by dispersing.inorganic or organic finely divided particles (e.g. finely divided particles of a silica having an average particle diameter of 2 mum) which can impart fine irreguralities to a surface after curing a coating into a solution which comprises a resin compound which gives the surface of the coating after application, drying, and curing a contact angle with water of 90 deg. or above (e.g. a silicone resin, a fluororesin, a PP resin, etc). On the surface of the base material coated with the above composition, because of the fine irreguralities by the inorganic or organic finely divided particles, in addition to the water repellent effect of the coating itself, the contact angle of the surface with waterdrops becomes small and the water repellancy becomes remarkably high. Therefore, by forming the water repellent coating composition on the surface of platelike fins of a heat exchanger, waterdrops can roll down from the surface of the platelike fins.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the ventilating amount of a heat exchanger as well as the generation of noise of the same by providing a thin film layer, having water absorbing property, on the lower end surface of a plate type fin. CONSTITUTION:The main body of a heat exchanger is constituted by a method wherein heat transfer tube penetrating holes are bored on a plate type fin 9 made of aluminum, on the lower end surface of which a resin layer 8 having water absorbing property is adhered to fix it, fin collars 2 are raised up around the holes bored with an equal interval to penetrate heat transfer tubes 3 made of copper and, thereafter, the tubes 3 are fixed so as to be contacted closely to the plate type fin 9 through the means of tube expanding and the like. Condensed water, which flows down to the lower end surface of the fin 9, is absorbed quickly by the water absorbing thin film layer 8 and the film of the condensed water on the surface of the fin 9 maintains the state of a thin water film. After the predetermined water absorbing capacity of the water absorbing resin film in attained, the water is extruded from the lower part of the water absorbing thin film layer 8 by an amount exceeding the predetermined water absorbing capacity and is dropped quickly. Accordingly, the condensed water on the fin 9 exists in the state of a thin water film at all times whereby the deterioration of the ventilating amount of the heat exchanger as well as the generation of noise of the same may be eliminated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a member from wearing, by providing a vane, which forms its point end with material excellent in wearing resistance as compared with that of a vane main unit, and a roller which rotates while sliding its peripheral part with the point end part of the vane. CONSTITUTION:A roller 3, which is eccentrically built in a shaft 2, rotates while the roller 3 is brought into close contact with an internal wall of a cylinder 4 further forced to come into press contact with the point end of a vane 6. The vane 6 constitutes its point end part 8 of material of different kind from that of a vane main unit 7 and of a member in high hardness with excellent wearing resistance. Accordingly, wearing in both a vane groove and the vane point end part can be simultaneously suppressed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make uniform the speed of air flow through a group of heat transfer tubes and improve the heat transfer performance greatly by an arrangement that a group of plate shaped fins through which a gas flows and a group of heat transfer tubes inserted perpendicular to the group and through which a fluid flows have partial overlaps with the plane of projection of heat transfer tubes located upstream onto the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:The pitch in the direction of gravity of heat transfer tubes 12 is made larger than the distance between the heat transfer tubes in the direction of air flow 13 and they are arranged substantially in a zig-zag. The heat transfer tubes are constituted so that in the direction of the air flow 13 a plane 14 of projection of the upstream heat transfer tubes 12a and 12c overlaps partially the heat transfer tubes 12b and 12d. A heat transfer tube 12 has a fin collar inserted at right angle and the latter is fixed to the former by pipe expansion work. Further, a group 17 of elongated pieces cut into the plate shaped fin 11 and lifted up with two side wall sections 16a and 16b in the fin between the two rows of heat transfer tubes 12 in the direction opposing the direction of the air flow 31 are provided, and the leg sections 18a and 18b which are joined to the plate shaped fin 11 are provided at an angle to the direction of a normal to the front brim of the plate shaped fin 11.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture a finned heat exchanger highey generalpurposed with no limitation of the distance between fins even when heat transfer pipes with small pipe diameter are employed by a method wherein projected parts and recessed parts are provided on each flat plate fin and a fin collar is provided at each projected part and at each recessed part. CONSTITUTION:Projected parts 7 and recessed parts 8 are provided alternately on a flat plate fin 4 in the direction of the stage of heat transfer pipes 5 and fin collars 6 and 9 are prespectively provided at each projected part 7 and at each recessed part 8 in the order named. The recessed part 8 is brought into contact with the fin collar 6' provided at the projected part 7' of an adjacent flat plate fin 4'. Because the distance between fins L is the sum of the height l1 of the projected part 7' of the flat plate fin 4', the height l2 of the recessed part 8 of the flat plate fin 4 and the height l3 of the fin collar 6', even if l3 is limited in manufacturing, any distance between fins L can be realized by changing l1 and l2. Accordingly, even when heat transfer pipes with small diameter are employed, a heat exchanger with any distance between fins can be manufactured. Consequently, when a heat exchanger, in which small diameter heat transfer pipes are employed for aiming at a small-sized higher efficiency heat exchanger, is used as an evaporator, specifications preventing the bridging of condensate between fins and clogging of fins due to frosting from occurring can be easily manufactured.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase heat transfer coefficient between air and the surface of a fine by a method wherein the legs of groups of a plurality of cut-and-raised parts, provided alternately and adjacently at the front and rear sides of the fin, are provided with given angles with respect to the direction of main flow of air stream. CONSTITUTION:The legs 13a-18a, 13b-18b of the cut-and-raised parts are provided so as to have a given angle with respect to the main flow direction12 of air, therefore, air stream, having whirling component, is induced. This air stream mixes the air, whose heat is exchanged at the upstream side of the air stream, with fresh air and generates the turbulence of low at the downstream side of the air stream. Further, the air stream, induced by the legs 15a, 16b of the cut-and-raised parts, affects directly 6 a fin collar 10 while the air stream, induced by the legs 17a, 18a of the cut-and-raised parts, reduced dead water areas in the downstream of air stream of heat transfer tube 11, therefore, heat transfer performance between air and the surface of the fins is improved remarkably.
