    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous bio-absorptive material, which is a thin film-like porous bio-absorptive material having a small average pore size and uniform size, and which is a dense structure having the maximum stress, and especially very useful as an adhesion preventive material.
    SOLUTION: This porous bio-absorptive material is formed of a bio-absorptive polymer obtained by gelatinizing bio-absorptive polymer with good solvent and poor solvent of the compatible bio-absorptive polymer, and freezing and drying the gelatinized bio-absorptive polymer to be made porous. This method of manufacturing the porous bio-absorptive material includes the steps of: gelatinizing bio-absorptive polymer with a mixed solvent of good solvent and poor solvent of compatible bio-absorptive polymer; and freezing and drying the gelatinized gel material to be made porous.
