Abstract:
A method and a device for detecting plastic foreign objects with low chromaticity difference in shredded tobacco through online pulse spectral imaging are provided. The method includes three steps: negative pressure thin-layer loading of shredded tobacco, pulse line-scanning identification of shredded tobacco, and positive pressure online elimination of foreign objects. Loose shredded tobacco is formed into a fixed and continuous thin layer on a surface of a conveying cylinder under the effect of a negative pressure adsorption force. The surface of the conveying cylinder is coded by areas. An LED linear array light source containing characteristic wavelengths of plastics with low chromaticity difference emits optical pulses, and a line-scanning camera is used to obtain characteristic signals of the plastic foreign objects with low chromaticity difference efficiently in real time.

This invention relates generally to devices, systems, and methods for performing biological assays by using indicators that modify one or more optical properties of the assayed biological samples. The subject methods include generating a reaction product by carrying out a biochemical reaction on the biological sample introduced into a device and reacting the reaction product with an indicator capable of generating a detectable change in an optical property of the biological sample to indicate the presence, absence, or amount of analyte suspected to be present in the sample.
Abstract:
The present invention teaches an apparatus for consistent and accurate on-site readings of fluorescence signals of coronavirus test result, with which a user directly reads a fluorescent light qualitatively instead of using electronic sensors. The fluorescent light is excited from a fluorescent source in a site of interest in a target assay. The device comprises a light source for generating an excitation light for exciting the fluorescent source of the target assay to generate a fluorescent light, a component for accurately transmitting the excitation light and the fluorescent light with less noise or reflection, a component for consistent detecting of the fluorescent source by bare eyes with minimal health risks, and a user control system that requires minimal training.

The collection of measurement values can be overspecified, and a generalized inverse operation can provide solutions rendering computational tomography data.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) and a method for measuring the moisture in die cast molds (24), the cavity (25) of which is connected via an evacuation conduit (31) to an evacuation device (28). The modular assembly of the device (1) is connectable to the evacuation conduit (31) and comprises a sensor assembly (S) by means of which the moisture of gases evacuated from the mold cavity (25) is measurable. The sensor assembly (S) comprises an emitter (7) emitting electromagnetic radiation and a detector (14) detecting electromagnetic radiation. On the basis of the measured values obtained during the evacuation action it can be determined whether the amount of a water/release agent mixture jetted into the mold cavity (25) needs to be altered before the actual casting action.
