Abstract:
A strain gauge sensor for sensing stresses and deformations in mechanical members or structures, comprising a support substrate in form of a thin plate, made of an electrically-insulating material, preferably ceramic material, bearing on one face at least one thick-film resistor; said support substrate being adapted to be firmly attached with its other face onto a member or structure of which stresses and deformations are to be locally sensed, so that said stresses or deformations determine through the substrate corresponding deformations of said at least one thick-film resistor.
Abstract:
Circuit for protecting a transistor T against permanent short circuits comprising a pair of diodes D, connected in series in the same direction between the base and the emitter of the transistor T, mounted so that they are in close thermal contact with the transistor T. The circuit is specially recommended for the protection of surface mounted transistors, SMD, where heat sinks cannot be used to disperse the excess power generated by the transistor T in the event of a short circuit. Abstract:
A system with a microprocessor MP, protected from electromagnetic interference, comprising a line L specially adapted for the reception of radio frequency, or other interference, and monitored by the microprocessor MP in a way that permits the said microprocessor MP to detect promptly any interference on the communication line and take countermeasures. The system can be used with advantage in environments, such as cars, that are subject to heavy electromagnetic interference. (Figure 1)
