    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a simple circuit configuration which has excellent frequency stability and performs accurate current control. CONSTITUTION: A resistance (Rs) is in series with a drain-source path of a MOS power transistor (M1). A feed terminal (J) of a mutual conductance operational amplifier (A) is connected to an output part for boosting a voltage or of a charging pump(CP) circuit that can output a voltage higher than a voltage of a power source (Vs) to which the drain of the MOS transistor (M1) is connected. An input part of the amplifier (A) is connected to the resistance (Rs), its output part is connected to a gate of the MOS transistor (M1) and as the result a maximum current flowing to the power transistor (M1) at time of the operation is limited to a value proportional to a reference voltage (VR).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a high common mode and the high suppression rate of a power source by keeping the collectors transistors at reference voltages, reflecting a current supplied from a prescribed circuit to a resistor leading an inter-emitter input signal at a resistor, and providing output signals from both terminals of this resistor. CONSTITUTION: The respective collectors of bipolar transistors (Q) 1 and 2 biased lower than 1μA by constant current sources IP3 and 4 are kept at respective fixed reference voltages VR1 and 2. Besides, an input signal Vin impressed between emitters 1N- and 1N+ of Q1 and Q2 is led to a resistor R1 and a current mirror circuit is composed of Q5, Q6, Q7, MOS transistors M7, M10 and M9, and resistors R3-R6. Therefore, a current IR1 to be supplied from this circuit to the resistor R1 is reflected to a resistor R6 and an output signal Vout is provided at both terminals. Thus, the input common mode, power source suppression ratio and input impedance are improved and the I/F circuit of optimum control unit for a vehicle can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To detect a low peak signal by providing a circuit for resetting an accumulation means so that the means reaches 0 every time when a signal generated by a sensor exceeds a threshold signal. CONSTITUTION: When a rotor 2 rotates, a voltage signal Vi is outputted from a pickup 4 every time when a gear 3 passes the front of the pickup 4, and the signal Vi is supplied to a clamp circuit 6 via a resistor 5. Then, an output signal Ve from the circuit 6 is inputted to a threshold comparison circuit 7 and a threshold signal generation circuit 8. A threshold signal Vs is outputted to the comparator 7 from the circuit 8. In the comparator 7, its output signal Vo is changed from high to low levels when the signal Ve exceeds a signal Vs. The signal Vo operates a monostable circuit 14, and the circuit 14 switches a switch 12 into conduction state for a predetermined time. Therefore, a capacitor 11 momentarily discharges through the switch 12. Then, when the characteristic time of the circuit 14 passes, the switch 12 is changed to a nonconduction state, and the capacitor 11 is charged to a new peak voltage of the signal Ve.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent unexpected generation of spark by employing a control circuit for gradually changing a voltage between collector emitters of a switching transistor for an ignition coil so as to control a primary switching operation speed for transmitting a current to a primary winding of the ignition coil. CONSTITUTION: In a circuit portion for controlling the spark generation in an ignition plug SP of an ignition system, a switching transistor T comprising a pair of individual transistors which are Darlington coupled with their common collector connected to a primary winding 5 of a coil and their emitters grounded. The collector of this transistor T is connected to a resistance type potential divider comprising two resistors 7 and 8. This resistance type potential divider is connected to an inverse input of a differential amplifier 9. Further, a ramp generator 10 is connected to a non-inverse input of a differential amplifier 9. A control input 10a of the ramp generator 10 is connected to an output of MPU. The output of the differential amplifier 9 is connected to a base of the transistor T through a resistor 11.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a control circuit capable of enhancing the safety of a vehicular gas discharge lamp by securing earth and of inhibiting the promotion of lamp ionization. CONSTITUTION: A vehicular control circuit has a voltage source B and an output stage HB having an H-bridge circuit, with a gas discharge lamp L inserted in the center of the H-bridge circuit. An intermediate stage including an inverter INV comprising a transformer T is provided between the voltage source and the output stage. The secondary winding of the transformer is in the state of being shut off from a grounding conductor GND and is connected to the outputs of rectifier circuits D2, D3. The rectifier circuits are similarly shut off from the grounding conductor. The output stage is connected to the outputs of the rectifier circuits. Since the lamp has a terminal connected to the grounding conductor, safety effects and the effect of inhibiting the promotion of lamp ionization are produced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make a fault detecting method usable in an environment with less protection such as a car by providing the method with a sensor means which issues the first signal which indicates that an electric circuit has a fault and the second signal which assumes a value corresponding to the occurring fault. CONSTITUTION: A FAULT (the first signal) line transmits a signal which indicates that a fault occurred in a circuit 1 from an electric power circuit 1 to a microprocessor C. Both DIAGA and DIAGB (the second signal) lines transmit the information on diagnoses state, in short, the signal identifying a kind of fault detected, to the microprocessor C. A load or a voltage level which appears at output lines VOUT1 and VOUT2 connected to Darlington circuit pairs 2A and 2B, respectively, is sent to diagnoses modules 9A and 9B through lines 10A and 10B, respectively. Therefore, use in such bad environment as a car, etc., is possible.
