Abstract: The present invention relates to a method 300 for facilitating simulation of a shot from a weapon, wherein the weapon is equipped with a laser device which works on the time-of-flight principle. The method comprises the step 310 of receiving an emitted coded laser pulse sequence from the weapon by a simulation device. The method further comprises the step 350 of transferring a returned coded pulse sequence which corresponds to the emitted coded laser pulse sequence back to the weapon by the simulation device. The simulation device is a range simulation device. The method further comprises the step of delaying 330 said transferring in relation to said receiving so that said delay is perceived by said weapon as a longer travel time of the emitted coded laser pulse sequence and the returned coded pulse sequence, respectively. The method further relates to a simulation device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an arrangement (100) for obtaining a quantity related to a temperature along a part of an optical fibre (110). The arrangement comprises a light emitter (120) arranged to emit light into the optical fibre (110). The optical fibre is at at least one location along said part of the optical fibre provided with a Fibre Bragg Gratings, FBGs (111, 112, 113), wherein the FBGs are arranged to reflect light within a predetermined wavelength range. The arrangement further comprises a detector (160) arranged to receive and detect the reflected light, a first optical shutter (130) arranged in the optical path after the light emitter. The first optical shutter is arranged to be opened and closed in order to let the emitted light through and into the optical fibre (110), a second optical shutter (150) arranged to be opened and closed in order to let the reflected light through, and an optical circulator (140) having a first, a second and a third port. The optical circulator is operatively connected to the first optical shutter (130) at the first port, to the part of the optical fibre provided with the FBGs (111, 112) at the second port, and to the second optical shutter (150) at the third port. A control unit (180) is arranged to control the first optical shutter (130) and the second optical shutter (150). The control unit (180) is arranged to coordinate the timing of the opening of the first optical shutter (130) and the second optical shutter (150), respectively.

The method comprises the steps of providing the platform (5), the elevation support (3) and the adjustable locking mechanism (9); mounting the elevation support (3) to the platform (5); adjusting the adjustable locking mechanism (9) so that the first distance (D1) corresponds with the second distance (D2); and locking the adjustable locking mechanism (9) by sliding the first shaft element (13′) into the first opening (11′) and by sliding the second shaft element (13″) into the second opening (11″).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for authenticating software. The method comprises defining a set of parameters to use for trace mapping the software, wherein the set of parameters represents the software functionality when executed. The method further comprises: a) creating a trusted fingerprint that is created by trace mapping the software using the set of parameters when executed in a trusted environment; b) creating an operating fingerprint that is created by trace mapping the software using the set of parameters when executed in an operating environment; c) comparing the operating fingerprint with the trusted fingerprint, and identifying any difference between the trusted fingerprint and the operating fingerprint; and d) when said operating fingerprint is non-identical with the trusted fingerprint, initiating predefined action(s) in response to the identified differences between the trusted fingerprint and the operating fingerprint.
