PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate driver circuit constituted so as to supply a switching voltage to a DC/DC converter. SOLUTION: Both the gate driver circuit and DC/DC converter comprise at least one transistor and at least one further component. The DC/DC converter is arranged to convert an input voltage Vin to an output voltage Vout and to supply Vout to a load. Furthermore, an electric power converter equipped with the gate driver circuit and the DC/DC converter is provided. The gate driver circuit is designed such that the transistors are in the form of transistors being suitable for being manufactured in an MMIC-process (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) or an RFIC-process (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component made from a material of metal matrix composite, a so-called MMC material, which is manufactured by High Speed Machining, so-called HSM machining, of a workpiece or blank of MMC material to provide a predetermined shape.SOLUTION: In the HSM machining, the cutting tool operates at a very high speed in relation to the machined workpiece, especially as compared to what is normally the case when using conventional machining techniques.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in using a transportable supporting weapon such as an antitank rifle or an antitank missile in a building wherein damage is inflicted upon a weapon operator, accompanied by toxic gas in addition to hydrochloric acid, lead powder, and heavy metal, and it is very dangerous. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method and a device by means of which it has been made possible, without gas discharge to the surrounding environment, to accelerate the speed of a powder-gas-driven projectile 4 from zero to a speed which gives the projectile free-flying characteristics. This has been made possible by utilizing at least some of the expansion force from the propellent powder charge 11, which discharges gas when it is initiated, for, by means of a displaceable piston 7, driving a countermass 8 out of the rear part 13 of the projectile in the direction opposite to the desired flying direction of the projectile 4. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved solution for controlling the antenna pattern of a wideband array antenna or an antenna system. SOLUTION: A wideband array antenna unit comprising the wideband array antenna and a transforming means can be obtained to control the antenna pattern of a wideband array antenna. The separation between antenna elements in the wideband array antenna can be increased to above one half wavelength of a maximum frequency within a system bandwidth when the array antenna is arranged to operate with an instantaneously wideband waveform.
