PURPOSE: A multiuser cooperative space multiplexing operation method and apparatus thereof in a wireless communication system are provided to equalize interference between layers in the use of multiuser CSM. CONSTITUTION: Uplink transmission scheduling about connected terminals is performed. It is determined whether a multiuser CSM(Collaborative Spatial Multiplexing) domain for interference equalization is allocated to the terminal. If so, resource units allocated to the layers are substituted for applying a different substitution method.

PURPOSE: A method for performing hybrid automatic repeat request operation in wireless mobile communication system is provided to increase the flexibility of communication between a mobile station and the other systems by using the predetermined operation timing. CONSTITUTION: A transmission stage transmits the data burst allocation information and the DL(Down Link) data burst through the DL frequency bandwidth in a first DL subframe(300). A reception stage receives the HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeated Request) feedback through a fifth UL frequency bandwidth. The transmission stage retransmits the data burst according to the HARQ feedback at a first DL subframe(320).

PURPOSE: An FRR area determination apparatus of a terminal and a method thereof using reference signal broadcasting in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to increase the accuracy of FRR area determination and decrease overhead by request for FFR area determination. CONSTITUTION: A receiver receives a reference value for an FFR(Fractional Frequency Reuse) domain determination from a base station. A measurement apparatus(714) measures reception signal intensity about a neighboring cell and a serving cell. A determination apparatus(716) determines an area about the terminal by using reception signal intensity or wave deterioration value. A transmitter transmits information to the base station.

A device for bidirectional transmission in a relay-type wireless communication system and a method therefore are provided to carry out bidirectional transmission by using overlapping signals at a signal level, thereby conducting the bidirectional transmission in an AF(Amplify and Forward) repeater. A repeater confirms whether signals are received from two nodes(401). If so, the repeater estimates a channel between the two nodes(403). The repeater generates overlapping signals which add signals to be transmitted to the two nodes, by using estimated channel information(405). The repeater transmits the overlapping signals to the two nodes during the same time interval(407).

An apparatus and a method for communicating uplink data in a wireless communication system are provided to save the energy required for uplink transmission by partially transmitting the sample data of an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) symbol during the uplink transmission. An apparatus for communicating uplink data in a wireless communication system includes an index generator(505), a pilot symbol mapper(509), a data symbol mapper(507), an IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) calculator(511), and a transmitting unit. The index generator calculates and generates a sub carrier index for mapping a transmission packet signal into a sub carrier at a predetermined interval. The pilot symbol mapper performs mapping of a pilot symbol into the corresponding sub carrier according to the sub carrier index in the predetermined front period of a packet signal transmission period. The data symbol mapper performs mapping of a data symbol into the corresponding sub carrier according to the sub carrier index in the predetermined rear period of the packet signal transmission period. The IFFT calculator performs the IFFT of the mapped pilot symbol and data symbol, and generates sample data. The transmitting unit extracts and transmits the predetermined part of the sample data of each OFDMA symbol from the IFFT processor.

A method and an apparatus for estimating an uplink frequency offset in a wireless communication system are provided to prevent resource waste by using a random access channel for estimating the uplink frequency offset. A base station of a wireless communication system uses a random access channel having two sequences. A channel receiver(404) extracts samples corresponding to the two sequences from a received random access channel signal. A correlator correlates predetermined former and following samples with a predetermined sequence to calculate first and second correlation values. A frequency offset estimator(422) divides the second correlation value by the first correlation value to estimate a frequency offset. The correlator includes a code generator, a conjugate generator(416) and first and second multipliers(408,412). The conjugate generator outputs complex conjugates of the sequences from the code generator. The first and second multipliers generate the first and second correlation values.

An apparatus and a method for reducing a transmission-over-head in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to reduce the transmission-over-head by inserting allocation information of a data burst into a burst preamble in a wireless communication system based on OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing). An apparatus for reducing a transmission-over-head in a broadband wireless communication system includes a head generator(501), and a traffic channel forming unit(505). The head generator(501) generates a head including data allocation information and control information of each frame to be transmitted. The traffic channel forming unit(505) forms a traffic channel by combining the generated head with a burst. Each frame is allocated to one user for total frequency band. Transmission data is allocated on each frame according to a time resource. The data allocation information includes a user ID(Identification), a time domain start point of the burst, and a length of the burst to be allocated on the frame.

A channel interleaving/de-interleaving apparatus in a communication system using a low density parity check code and a control method thereof are provided to reduce error rate of an entire system by transmitting and receiving reliable LDPC(Low Density Parity Check). A channel interleaving/de-interleaving method in a communication system using a low density parity check code includes the steps of: encoding information data bit in a set encoding way to generate LDPC codeword; interleaving the LDPC codeword corresponding to a set cannel interleaving rule; and modulating the channel-interleaved LDPC codeword in a set modulation way to generate modulated symbol.
