Abstract: PURPOSE: A gateway of a GMPLS(Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching) non-support network and operation method thereof are provided to reduce network upgrade costs by including a resource reservation protocol signaling unit. CONSTITUTION: A boundary route protocol routing unit(730) exchanges routing information between a first GMPLS support network and a third GMPLS support network by using a boundary route protocol. A resource reservation protocol signaling unit(710) searches routes of other networks by referring to the route information. The resource reservation protocol signaling unit executes an inter-network signaling procedure through a signaling interface and the first or the third GMPLS support network.
