    Abstract: A synergistic herbicidal mixture comprising A) at least one 3-heterocyclyl-substituted benzoyl derivative of the formula I in which the variables have the following meanings: R1, R3 are halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl or alkylsulfonyl; R2 is a optionally substituted heterocyclic radical selected from the group: isoxazol-3-yl, isoxazol-4-yl, isoxazol-5-yl, 4,5-dihydroisoxazol-3-yl, 4,5-dihydroisoxazol-4-yl and 4,5-dihydroisoxazol-5-yl; R4 is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl; R5 is alkyl; R6 is hydrogen or alkyl; or one of its environmentally compatible salts; and B) a synergistically effective amount of the compound of formula II or one of its environmentally compatible salts; and, if desired, C) at least one further herbicidal compound; and, if desired, D) at least a safener. Compositions comprising these mixtures, processes for the preparation of these compositions, and their use for controlling undesired plants.

    Abstract: A herbicidally active composition is described to comprise the component (A), and at least one further active compound selected from (B) and (C). (B) are herbicides selected from lipid biosynthesis inhibitors, acetolactate synthase inhibitors (ALS inhibitors), photosynthesis inhibitors, protoporphyrinogen-IX oxidase inhibitors, bleacher herbicides, enolpyruvyl shikimate 3-phosphate synthase inhibitors (EPSP inhibitors), glutamine synthetase inhibitors, 7,8-dihydropteroate synthase inhibitors (DHP inhibitors), mitose inhibitors, inhibitors of the synthesis of very long chain fatty acids (VLCFA inhibitors), cellulose biosynthesis inhibitors, decoupler herbicides, auxin herbicides, auxin transport inhibitors and other herbicides selected from the group consisting of benzoylprop, flamprop, flamprop-M, bromobutide, chlorflurenol, cinmethylin,methyldymuron, etobenzanid, fosamine, metam, pyributicarb, oxaziclomefone, dazomet, triaziflam and methyl bromide. (C) are safeners selected from benoxacor, cloquintocet, cyometrinil, dichlormid, dicyclonon, dietholate, fenchlorazole, fenclorim, flurazole, fluxofenim, furilazole, isoxadifen, mefenpyr, mephenate, naphthalic anhydride,2, 2, 5-trimethyl-3- (dichloroacetyl)- 1,3-oxazolidine, 4- (dichloroacetyl)-l-oxa- 4-azaspiro [4.5] decane and oxabetrinil, the agriculturally acceptable salts of the active compounds B and C and the agriculturally acceptable derivatives of the active compounds B and C, provided they have a carboxyl group. The composition ratios are described to be for component (A) to (B) to range from 10:1 to 1:500; (A) to (C) from 10:1 to 1:10; and (B) to (C) from 50:1 to 1:10. The use of the compositions is to control undesirable vegetation in crops including rice, cotton, potatoes, and forestry, as well as for the desiccation and/or defoliation of plants.
