Vorrichtung zur Herstellung einer Kabelverseilung mit wechselnder Schlagrichtung aus sektorförmigen isolierten elektrischen Leitern (1). Um Beschädigungen an den Leiterisolierungen durch hohe Verseilkräfte zu vermeiden, sind im Verseilkopf (6) und in der Einlaufführung (15) zum Drallspeicher mehrere formschlüssige Führungsrollensätze (2,3) vorgesehen, welche zueinander Freiwinkel zulassen und zwar um die gemeinsame zentrale Achse aller Verseilelemente (1) und/oder um die Achse jedes einzelnen Verseilelementes (1).

The metal core used for reinforcing tire beads is constituted by a plurality of coils of wire (16), (17), (18), axially arranged side-by-side and radially superimposed, in which the wire has a straight section of modular shape with two equal and parallel opposite sides (1), (2), the profiles (15) connecting the corresponding ends of the opposite sides having a distance, from the axis of said pair of sides, whose value varies from one side to the other, said variation comprising at least one inversion of value along the development of the profile.

The present invention provides a spiral strand formed of a plurality of layers, each layer being formed of a plurality of individual wires. At least one inner layer is adapted to have a greater resistance to radial forces than other layers, such that the inner layer is better able to resist the higher radial forces that are generated within the inner layers of relatively larger spiral strands, for example strands that have seven or more layers provided radially outwardly of the adapted inner layer. The inner layer may be adapted by including shaped wires that provide contact surfaces between layers that have a greater surface area.
Abstract:
A first aspect of the present invention relates to a filament (11; 12), especially for reinforcing rubber articles. Said filament (11; 12) features a contact surface (14) and an outer surface (13). In a second aspect, the invention relates to a steel cord (10) comprising two of said filaments (11, 12), the contact surfaces (14) are arranged adjacent to each other. The outer surfaces (13) are configured arcuate shaped and provide a smooth outer contour (15) of the steel cord (10). Due to said construction the largest dimension (d) of the steel cord (10) and the thickness of a rubber coating (18) may be considerably reduced. Additionally the invention relates to a method of producing a steel cord (10) and to a tyre (20) comprising a carcass ply (22) and/or at least one belt (25; 26) including said steel cords (10).
