The invention relates to a drive device in vehicle component, comprising an electric drive motor, the armature shaft thereof being connected to a gearbox device for driving an output shaft. The gearbox device comprises at least one double gearbox unit, made of two gear stages having two changes in direction.
Abstract:
A support post includes an inner post that supports rotation of an outer post. The inner post includes a journal assembly that supports and facilitates rotation about a central axis. The journal assembly that supports the outer post on the inner post includes a single ball bearing disposed along the axis of rotation. The inner post is fixed and supports a central post on which the ball bearing is supported. The outer post includes a sleeve that fits over the ball bearing and the central post. Support of the outer post along the central axis provides for improved mounting and gate support. An actuator can be utilized to automatically or remotely open the gate. The actuator is disposed within the inner post that drives rotation of the outer post. The outer post remains supported by the journal assembly and is rotated by the actuator with the inner post.
Abstract:
A hinge for controlling the movement of a door on a refrigerator is disclosed, the hinge allowing the refrigerator to be installed flush to adjacent cabinets. The door translates and rotates in order to allow access to the refrigerator cabinet interior without contacting the adjacent cabinets.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an actuator (1), comprising an output member (6); a resilient element (8) connected to said output member (6) so as to urge it in a first direction; and an hydraulic rotation damper (5) with a closed cylinder cavity, a rotational damper shaft which extends into the cylinder cavity, and a piston dividing the cylinder cavity into a first side and a second side. Within the rotation damper (5), the rotational movement of the damper shaft is converted into a translational movement of the piston along a longitudinal axis of the shaft. A restricted fluid passage communicates said first and second sides. The damper shaft is connected over a gearing (10, 15, 17) to the output member (6) and resilient element (8) of the actuator for damping movement of said output member (6) in said first direction. The present invention relates to both rotational and linear actuators as well as to a closing mechanisms for hinged members, such as doors, gates, or windows, comprising such actuators.
Abstract:
A power closure actuator especially suitable for use in powering various automotive closure devices. The actuator includes a brushless pancake electric motor having an output shaft; a sun gear on the output shaft; a plurality of compound planet gears each having a large diameter lower portion meshingly engaging the sun gear and a small diameter upper portion; a ring gear surrounding and meshingly engaging the small diameter upper portions of the planet gears, and a cable drum splined to the ring gear. A mounting plate positioned in overlying confronting relation to the flat upper face of the motor mounts a plurality of planet shafts extending upwardly from the mounting plate in circumferentially spaced relation to the motor output shaft with one of the compound planet gears journaled on each planet shaft.
Abstract:
A sliding wall-mounted interior door system that includes a telescoping door actuating mechanism that is attached to the upper portion of the door, and a roller assembly that extends horizontally from the wall and engages a track in the lower portion of the door. The door actuating system is designed so that the movement of one of the door panels simultaneously moves the other door panel in the opposite direction. The actuating mechanism is designed so that a gearing assembly within the actuating mechanism moves laterally when the door system is moved between the open and closed positions.
Abstract:
A spindle drive for a movable component includes a threaded spindle which is rotatable about a spindle axis; a spindle nut which engages the threaded spindle; and a transmission element which can be connected to the movable component, the transmission element being fixed against rotation about the spindle axis and being axially drivable by rotation of the spindle nut. An intermediate element, which is fixed against rotation relative to the spindle nut, extends axially with respect to the threaded spindle and is rotatable relative to the threaded spindle. A drive is connected to rotate one of the intermediate element and the threaded spindle; and the other of the intermediate element and the threaded spindle can be fixed against rotation.
Abstract:
An electromechanical strut is provided for moving a pivotal lift gate between an open position and a closed position relative to a motor vehicle body. The electromechanical strut includes a housing connected to one of the lift gate and the motor vehicle body. An extensible shaft is slidably mounted to the housing. The extensible shaft is connected to the other of the lift gate and the motor vehicle body. A drive mechanism includes a rotatable power screw. The drive mechanism converts rotary motion of the power screw into linear motion of the extensible shaft to move the extensible shaft between a retracted position corresponding to the closed position of the lift gate and an extended position corresponding to the open position of the lift gate. A power spring includes one end connected to the extensible shaft and another end connected to the housing for providing a mechanical counterbalance to the weight of the lift gate.
