Abstract:
A trainable transceiver for learning and transmitting an activation signal that includes an RF carrier frequency modulated with a code for remotely actuating a device, such as a garage door opener. The trainable transceiver preferably includes a controller, a signal generator, and a dynamically tunable antenna having a variable impedance that may be selectively controlled in accordance with a detector circuit signal. The detector circuit provides a measurement of the transmission power and is also used to vary the applied transmission power of the transceiver in response to operating and environmental parameters.

The control circuit is configured to receive notification information from the mobile communications device via the communications device, and wherein the control circuit is configured to generate an output using the output device based on the notification information.
Abstract:
A key fob simulator for sending actuation commnad to a vehicle is discussed. The key fob has memory buffers, processors, and a transceiver that uses wireless communications to communicate with a backend cloud-based system. A RF transmitter of the key fob can transmit RF signals to Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module of the vehicle. A mapping module includes a map-calculating circuit to calculate map coordinates of the key fob. A security module can receive a rolling security key of the RKE module of the vehicle. The key fob includs buttons that can be pushed by a user of the key fob to generate actuation commands by the security module. Using the RF transmitter, an actuation command and the rolling security key can be sent from security module to the RKE module of the vehicle. The RKE module then executes the actuation command after validating the rolling security key.
Abstract:
An apparatus for radio-controlled automation systems for opening/closing curtains, entrance doors, rolling shutters, gates, barriers, electrical switches or the like, comprising a radio receiver which is coupled to an electric motor or to an electrical switch for operating the opening/closure and/or switching on/off and comprising at least one radio transmitter for the remote actuation of the opening/closure, the radio receiver comprising actuation means for actuating the electric motor or the electrical switch on the basis of the content of an actuation radio signal which originates from the at least one radio transmitter, the radio receiver comprising a nonvolatile memory which stores a certificate which identifies the radio receiver and is adapted to provide an authorization to perform any operation at the radio receiver, the actuation means comprising stored instructions to perform the operation if the actuation signal that originates from the radio transmitter comprises, in encoded form, the certificate in addition to a recognition code of the radio transmitter and a control code which corresponds to the operation to be performed.
Abstract:
A transmitter for transmitting an RF control signal to a remote system includes a user input device, a memory and a transmitter circuit. The memory includes control data associated with the remote device. The control data includes a first frequency and a second frequency. The transmitter circuit is coupled to the user input device and memory. In response to a single user input, the transmitter circuit generates a rolling code signal, transmits the rolling code signal at the first frequency for a predetermined amount of time, and, upon expiration of the predetermined about of time, transmits the rolling code signal at the second frequency.
Abstract:
A trainable transmitter includes a receiver circuit and a control circuit. The receiver circuit is configured to receive signals. The control circuit is coupled to the receiver circuit and is configured to determine a noise level for a frequency range of the receiver circuit. The control circuit is further configured to select and provide a receiver threshold to the receiver circuit. The receiver threshold is variable based on the noise level. The trainable transmitter may be integrated in a vehicle, in particular a vehicle interior element.
Abstract:
A radio frequency transmitter is configured to send radio frequency messages to activate a remote system. Each message includes an encrypted counter value and a transmitter identifier. The transmitter is configured to send at least two of the messages having sequential encrypted counter values in response to a single user input.
