Abstract:
A method comprising receiving a request to compose a message; outputting a first prompt requesting a recipient for the message; receiving a first audible response to the first prompt, the first audible response including a recipient of the message; outputting a second prompt requesting a body for the message; receiving a second audible response to second prompt, the second audible response including a body of the message; and composing the message. An electronic device for voice messaging comprising an audible guide module for audibly prompting a user for recipient information and for audibly prompting a user for message information; a voice recognition module for interpreting received responses to the audible prompt for the recipient information and the audible prompt for the message information; and a message compiler module for creating a message from the responses to the audible prompt for the recipient information and the audible prompt for the message information.
Abstract:
A voice application creation and deployment system includes a voice application server for creating and serving voice applications to clients over a communication network; at least one voice portal node having access to the communication network, the portal node for facilitating client interaction with the voice applications; and an inference engine executable from the application server. In a preferred embodiment the inference engine is called during one or more predetermined points of an ongoing voice interaction to decide whether an inference of client need can be made based on analysis of existing data related to the interaction during a pre-determined point in an active call flow of the served voice application, and if an inference is warranted, determines which inference dialog will be executed and inserted into the call flow.
Abstract:
In a speech synthesis technique used in a network (110, 115), a set of text words is accepted by a speech engine software function (210) in a client device (105). From the set of text words, an invalid subset of text words is determined for which the text words are not in a word synthesis dictionary of the client device. The invalid subset of text words is transmitted over the network to a server device (120), which generates a set of word pronunciations including at least a portion of the text words of the invalid subset of text words and pronunciations associated with each of the text words. The client device uses the pronunciations for speech synthesis and may store them in a local word synthesis dictionary (220) stored in a memory (150) of the client device.
Abstract:
A method for providing text-to-speech instant messaging is provided. The method includes receiving (300) a convertible instant message from a sender using a text communication device (106) for a recipient using a speech communication device (108). The convertible instant message is converted (308) from text to speech by a text-to-speech converter (120) in a media application server (104). The media application server (104) provides (310) the converted instant message, along with response options (312), to the recipient. The recipient selects one of the response options, and the media application server (104) sends (318) a response message to the sender that includes the response option selected by the recipient.
Abstract:
An information guidance service system according to the present invention provides a user terminal (1) with information on a facility in use. The information guidance service system includes the user terminal (1) having a push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) function of performing a transceiver-mode communications; a PoC server (2) which controls the transceiver-mode communications with the PoC function to relay between the user terminal and an information guidance providing device (3); and the information guidance providing device (3) for providing the information on the facility in use to the user terminal (1). The information guidance providing device (3) includes a control circuit (31) that controls to communicate with the user terminal via the PoC server (2) and notify the user terminal of the information on the facility in use as a voice signal.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for transmitting audio signals in a mobile terminal receiving digital multimedia broadcast signals. The apparatus includes a broadcast reception process part for receiving a digital multimedia broadcast signal having at least an audio signal, separating the audio signal from the received digital multimedia broadcast signal, and outputting the separated audio signal; a Digital-to-Analog Converter for converting the separated audio signal into an analog audio signal; a controller for determining whether a predetermined request for transmitting the audio signal contained in the digital multimedia broadcast signal is entered during a voice call time; a synthesizer for receiving a control signal from the controller, and synthesizing the analog audio signal received from the DAC and a user's voice signal to create a synthesized signal; and a communication part for wirelessly transmitting the synthesized signal.
Abstract:
A system and method of using voice to access information in a call center is disclosed. Providing a voice response server to handle requests from local and remote administrators allows a call center to be managed even when administrators are physically distant from the call center. The voice response server may adhere to VoiceXML to process requests for call center information from administrators.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for receiving an input from an agent during a call with a caller where the input directs one or more processors to inject a recorded statement in the agent's voice into the call, and where the recorded statement in the agent's voice is stored in a computer-readable file. Obtaining the recorded statement in the agent's voice based on data associated with the input and in response to receiving the input. And causing the recorded statement in the agent's voice to be inserted into a media stream of the call.
