Abstract: The system and method non-linear optical mapping of a detector array to expand the field of view. Outer edges of the sensor array having lower resolution spatial resolution in exchange for an expanded field of view. A lens is used to distort incoming signals to provide the expanded field of view and a processor is used to remove the distortion to provide the actual spatial angles for the incoming signals suing a look up table or an algorithm. The lens may create radial or linear distortion.

Abstract: The system and method for phase noise reduction and/or vibration reduction in assemblies using piezoelectric passive resonant shunt damping or active vibration cancellation/compensation techniques. In some cases a circuit card or similar structure comprises an embedded piezoelectric device to reduce the effects of vibration on any sensitive device or component thereon. The system has a resonant shunt circuit or other control circuit to provide electrical loading to the piezoelectric device and may be single frequency mode or multimodal. The system may also be adaptively controlled by a microprocessor or the like, so that the vibration sensitive devices are monitored and controlled over time to extend the life of the device.

This combination of components prevent an eavesdropper on the network from garnering any information about when a communication is sent, the contents and statistics of a communication, the sender, or the intended recipient of the communication.

Abstract: A guided projectile including a precision guidance munition assembly utilizes at least one maneuver envelope to optimally control movement of at least one canard to steer the guided projectile during flight. The maneuver envelopes optimize movements of the at least one canard that effectuate movement in either the range direction or the cross-range direction, or both. The maneuver envelope enables optimal timing such that maneuvering in one direction does not come at the expense of maneuver authority in the other direction.

Abstract: A set of methods for discovery of nodes where at least some of the nodes use directional antennas is presented. The methods consist primarily of partitioning the search space into tiers based on elevation angles and adjusting parameters used to construct tiling patterns and slots for discovery messaging, and search methods patterns. The methods further include partitioning into subslots as well as characterization of HAIL slots and rendezvous slots. The HAIL slots and rendezvous slots are allocated within a search schedule and synched across multiple platforms for greater efficiency of communication.

Abstract: A radiation-hardened electronic system is disclosed. The radiation-hardened isolation latch circuit prevents the configuration data from entering the reconfigurable analog circuit block when the configuration data has been corrupted by a SEU.

Abstract: A method of digital signal processing includes modeling a digitally-modulated radio frequency (RF) communication stream using a set of incoming samples of the stream collected from a single antenna. The stream includes a first signal, the first signal including a sequence of first digital symbols having a previous symbol and a current symbol. Each first digital symbol is chosen from a plurality of first possible values. The first signal is modulated by a first known RF communication protocol having unknown time-varying parameters, the parameters having estimated previous values from modeling the previous symbol using a previous interval of the samples corresponding to the previous symbol. The method further includes collecting a current interval of the samples, predicting current values of the parameters, deciding a value of the current symbol using maximum likelihood estimation, and estimating the current values of the parameters using maximum likelihood estimation.
