Abstract: PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display element for low power light isotropy is provided to reduce driving voltage by efficiently inducing birefringence and to increase viewing angle characteristic. CONSTITUTION: An upper plate(130) faces two substrates. A lower plate(140) is separately arranged in the upper plate. An insulating layer is located in the upper part of the lower plate. A pixel electrode and a common electrode(170) are separately displaced with the upper part of the insulating layer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A polarizer device using a high performance dynamic polarizer mixture is provided to minimize defects caused by dust in a film-type polarizer using conventional adhesives by attaching the polarizer device to the outside of a liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: A high performance dynamic polarizer mixture includes carbon nanotube cluster(4) dispersed in a fluid. The fluid is a dielectric liquid and the liquid is liquid crystal or silicon oil. The polarizer mixture includes carbon nanotube cluster in the amount of 1-50wt%. The polarizer mixture absorbs all lights incident to the dispersed carbon nanotube cluster before voltage is applied to the polarizer mixture and transmits the light by extending the carbon nanotube cluster to an electric field direction when the voltage is applied to the polarizer mixture.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A double sided liquid crystal display is provided to see the opposite side display using a WGP(Wire Grid Polarizer), and reduce its thickness when applying the display to portable display device. Abstract: PURPOSE: A viewing angle controllable liquid crystal display device using vertical electric fields and optically isotropic liquid crystal mixtures are provided to avoid the quality deterioration of a device and prevent the lowering of yield rate thereof resulting from a rubbing process. CONSTITUTION: A flat first common electrode(9) is placed at some region of a lower substrate, and an insulating layer is placed on an upper portion of the first common electrode. A grid-shaped first pixel electrode(8) is placed at the upper portion of the insulating layer as much as the region of the first common electrode. Abstract: 본 발명에 의한 액티브 매트릭스형 다중도메인 수직배향 액정 표시 장치는, 행렬 형태로 배열되어 있으며 제 1 부화소전극과 제 2 부화소전극을 포함하는 다수의 화소전극, 화소전극에 연결되어 있는 제 1 스위칭 소자 및 제 2 스위칭 소자, 스위칭 소자에 연결되어 있는 게이트 선, 게이트 선과 교차하고 스위칭 소자에 연결되어 있으며 데이터 전압을 전달하는 데이터 선을 포함한다. 이러한 구조를 갖는 액정 표시 장치에 유전율 이방성이 양의 값을 가지는 액정을 주입하며 초기 수직 배향을 하고 있다. 제 1 부화소전극과 제 2 부화소전극은 각각 제 1 스위칭 소자와 제 2 스위칭 소자에 의해서 구동이 된다. 이때 제 2 스위칭 소자에 인가되는 전압은 제 1 스위칭 소자에 인가되는 전압의 크기는 같지만 반대 극성을 갖는 전압이 인가된다. 따라서 각 화소에 인가되는 전압의 크기는 작지만 두 부화소전극 간의 전위차는 두 배가 되어 작은 전압으로도 큰 전위차를 가질 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A vertebra curer is provided to enable a user to use the curer for a long time by preventing heavy load from being applied to the user's arms and shoulders. CONSTITUTION: A vertebra curer includes; a lower frame(111) which is located on the floor surface; a lateral frame(112) which is installed in the vertical direction and is connected to both sides of the lower frame; and a body(110) which is equipped with an upper frame(113) parallelly connected to the lower frame in the end of the lateral frame. Abstract: A reflective cholesteric liquid crystal color filter is provided to obtain a constant pitch regardless of viewing angles by forming hemispheric shapes on a lower substrate coated with cholesteric liquid crystal. A reflective cholesteric liquid crystal color filter includes a lower substrate(110), a plurality of hemispheric shapes(120), an orientation film, and a cholesteric liquid crystal layer. The lower substrate is a transparent glass substrate. The hemispheric shapes are patterned on the lower substrate by using positive or negative photosensitive material. Diameters, heights, and arrangement of the hemispheric shapes are irregular to prevent a moire phenomenon or a color shift phenomenon due to light interference. The orientation film is formed on the hemispheric shapes. The cholesteric liquid crystal layer is formed on the orientation film.
