Abstract:
본 발명은 IPTV 서비스를 업데이트하는 방법 및 서버에 관한 것으로, 보다 특정하게는 서버에서 IPTV 서비스를 업데이트하고 그 IPTV 서비스의 업데이트 여부를 IPTV 수신 단말에게 알리는 방법 및 서버에 관련된다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따르면, 서비스 디스커버리 및 선택 기능을 지원하는 IPTV 제공서버는 브로드캐스트 컨텐츠 가이드의 업데이트를 즉각적으로 IPTV 수신 단말에게 알릴 수 있다. 또한, IPTV 수신 단말은 IPTV 제공서버로부터 수신되는 전송 스트림의 헤더를 확인하는 것으로, 어느 브로드캐스트 컨텐츠 가이드가 업데이트되었는 지를 즉시 파악하여 자신의 저장소에 업데이트할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A remote controller support system and method thereof for event handling of web environment are provided to generate the function of various remote controllers by using an input signal of the other remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A buffer(222) stores an event which an input signal received from a remote controller implies. An interpreter(221) changes one or more events based on an action list. The action list is for matching the number and the event according to the sequence of a buffer. The interpreter searches for the action list in a web server.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An efficient VOD service system and method thereof which uses unicast/multicast on the internet network are provided to supply efficient video on demand by allocating a connection management method between a server and a user terminal. CONSTITUTION: An MEF(Multicast Efficency Factor) confirmation unit(620) confirms the multicast efficiency factor of the corresponding content according to the content request from a client. A content transmitter(630) transmits the content to multicast or unicast through the network. The multicast efficiency factor includes efficiency measure of multicast transmission about unicast transmission of the content.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A personal media system and a method for obtaining execution information of a device are provided to supply to a user or a CP(Contents Provider) the information on the execution time or frequency for each contents of the user by storing the contents execution information for each end device. CONSTITUTION: If an end device(110) collecting contents execution information is connected to an end device reader, the end device reader obtains the contents execution information and the contents information for the contents installed at the end device. A mapper(530) confirms the execution for each contents of the end device by mapping the execution information with contents information. The mapper generates the execution for each user contents based on the execution information for each contents of the end device.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A device and a method for aggregating execution information are provided to collect the content execution information of a user device to provide a user or CP(Contents Provider) with information on execution time or frequency for content of the user device. CONSTITUTION: A storage(310) stores at a local storage address not only content but also a table which comprises the execution information of the content. A control unit(320) searches the content selected by a user from the storage and transfers the storage address of the selected contents to decoders(330,340). A decoder stores the storage address at the table, changes the execution information of the selected contents, and decodes and executes the selected contents according to the storage address. The control unit includes firmware or a chipset.

PURPOSE: An advertisement providing system based on a user's reaction, and a method thereof are provided to reflect the user's reaction in short time by selecting an advertisement according to the user's input keyword. CONSTITUTION: A keyword extractor(110) extracts the search keyword from a metadata of the transmitted broadcasting content. A web page searcher(120) searches a web page related with the keyword, and selects the keyword. The web page searcher extracts keywords which are related with an advertisement from the searched web page. An advertisement unit(140) searches an advertisement which is related with the keywords. A content service unit(150) offers the media content.

PURPOSE: A distinguishing method, a user identification server and a service server for an IPTV service is provided to hold one STB in common for many users by offering a user definition environment fixing to the user corresponding to a telephone number inputted to the IPTV STB. CONSTITUTION: A generating unit(11) creates a user binding information which is mapped to a STB ID based on a specific user information inputted from the STB(Set-Top Box). A binding information storage unit(12) stores the user binding information in a user ID database(20). The first identification part(13) searches the user binding information in the user identification database based on a specific user information inputted through an initial display for an IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) service. The first identification part distinguishes an STB user in which the specific user information is mapped.

PURPOSE: A terminal information communication device for a multimedia streaming service adaptive to a terminal and a method thereof are provided to enable a multimedia server to supply a multimedia streaming service corresponding to transmitted terminal information, thereby providing a multimedia streaming service suitable for a use environment. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone terminal(10) includes terminal information in an SIP message when transmitting the SIP message. SIP proxy servers(21,22) transfer the SIP message to a multimedia server(30). The SIP proxy servers transmit multimedia contents transmitted from the multimedia server to the mobile phone terminal. The multimedia server analyzes the SIP message to extract the terminal information.
