Abstract:
Disclosed is a cushion for relieving fatigue and reforming a sleeping position. The cushion includes a cylindrical sponge, and first, second and third driving motors placed in the sponge to apply vibrations to a user. A controller controls the first, second and third driving motors to generate the vibrations. The cushion also has a cylindrical plastic frame having open ends so that one end of the sponge is fixed in the frame, and an inner cover covers the sponge and first and second molded bodies of the frame. A vessel receiving a battery is inserted into an end of the frame, and a cap covers an opening of the vessel and is equipped with an input unit and a display unit of the controller. An aromatic case is mounted to the cap and has an aromatic material therein for releasing the aroma, and an outer cover covers the inner cover and the frame. A warming or cooling sheet, having pockets sewn on an internal surface thereof to accommodate hot or cold packs, is detachably mounted to an external surface of the outer cover for emitting warmth or coolness. The user lies on his or her side while wrapping the arms and legs around the cushion or holds the legs on the cushion, whereby the spine of the user becomes straight and blood circulation is improved, thus reforming the sleeping position and recovering from fatigue.
Abstract:
A therapeutic device (10) that provides light therapy in a sauna bed (11, 14) that has a hood (70) that fits over the head of a person lying in a sauna bed (11, 14). The hood (70) has interior lights (81, 83, 84, 85, 86) providing selected light intensity that simulates outdoor light at midday and which directs and scatters the light in a manner substantially similar to the direction of light from natural sources onto the head of a user. A strobe light (90) is also provided as well as selectable colored lights (83, 84, 85, 86) to permit the user to select a desired light regime.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A health care device illustrated has a low-frequency wave emitter, a low-frequency waveguide and a plant essential oil carrier disposed between the low-frequency wave emitter and the low-frequency waveguide. The low-frequency wave emitter emits a low-frequency wave with a predetermined frequency, and the low-frequency wave firstly passes through the plant essential oil carrier, and then propagates to the low-frequency waveguide. Next, energy of the low-frequency wave is focused in the low-frequency waveguide, and then the low-frequency wave is emitted out from the low-frequency waveguide. A health care method illustrated emits the low-frequency wave with the predetermined frequency to a belly button of a user by using the health care device. The health care device and method increase contents of NAD+ in blood of the user, and achieve effects of convenient operation, accurate use position identification, and non-invasive and non-contact health care.
Abstract:
A method for enhancing speech control in a subject includes applying a first vibrotactile stimulation and applying a second vibrotactile stimulation to a thyroid area of the subject. The first vibrotactile stimulation has a first vibrating property and the second vibrotactile stimulation has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. Example vibrating properties include vibrating frequency, vibrating frequency range, wave shape, continuousness, frequency phase, and direction of mechanical force. A collar may be configured to position the first vibrational transducer and the second vibrational transducer over a neck of a subject.
Abstract:
A wearable acupressure device (WAD) is described that may include one or more pockets with one or more beads to apply pressure at various points on the body. The bead may be domed or marble shaped. The WAD may be worn on one or more portions of the body, including the arm, leg, head and foot. Also, the bead may be used for aromatherapy.
Abstract:
A device for applying electrical stimulation to a surface of the human body utilizes a calibrated, pre-arranged pattern of conducting, current emitting elements to distribute current throughout an entire surface at once, such as human face, without needing to alter the device to accommodate various are sizes, including varying face sizes.
Abstract:
