Abstract: A greasy silicone composition which comprises: (A) a liquid organopolysiloxane comprising 80 to 96.5 mol% siloxane units represented by the formula R2SiO2/2, 1.0 to 10.0 mol% siloxane units represented by the formula RSiO3/2, and 0.25 to 10.0 mol% siloxane units represented by the formula R3SiO1/2 (in the formulae, R's are the same or different and each is a monovalent hydrocarbon group); and (B) a thickener. The composition can contain the thickener in a large amount and has excellent heat resistance.

Abstract: Low bleed silicone grease compositions are prepared by blending high viscosity silicone oils with filler materials and/or silicone elastomers. Greases comprise three main types: I) grease comprising high viscosity silicone oil and filler material, II) grease comprising high viscosity silicone oil and silicone elastomer, and III) grease comprising high molecular weight silicone oil and filler material and silicone elastomer.

Abstract: Adducts of clay, especially of the smectite variety, most especially bentonite, are prepared with an effective amount of at least one activated mixed metal oxide or oxy-hydroxide (AHMMO) formed by dehydrating hydrotalcite or a mixture comprising magnesium oxide and aluminum oxide, or a crystalline mixed metal hydroxide conforming substantially to the formula LimDdT(OH)(m+2d+3+n.a)(A )a.xH2O where m is zero to one, D is a divalent metal, d is from zero to 4, T is a trivalent metal, A represents at least one anion or negative-valence radical of valence n, where n is 1 or more, (m+2d+3+n.a) is equal to or greater than 3, (m+d) is greater than zero, and xH2O represents excess waters of hydration. These adducts are useful, e.g., in drilling muds and in viscosity modification of a wide variety of fluids.

Abstract: Disclosed is an effective thermal grease comprising a hyperbranched olefinic fluid and a thermally conductive filler. Property-modifying additives and fillers may also be included. The hyperbranched olefinic fluid is selected to have an average of at least 1.5 methine carbons per oligomer molecule and at least 40 methine carbons per one thousand total carbons. The thermal grease exhibits a flash point of 180° C. or higher, a pour point of 0° C. or lower, and a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of no more than 200 cSt (0.0002 m 2/s). The composition may offer improved thermal conductivity, reduced tendency to migrate, and lower cost when compared with many other thermal greases, including silicone-based thermal greases.

Abstract: The present invention provides a thermally conductive grease composition which scarcely increases in hardness during high-temperature heating and has a minimized reduction in growth, containing: (A) an organopolysiloxane including at least two alkenyl groups per molecule, the 25° C. kinetic viscosity being 5,000 to 100,000 mm2/s; (B) a hydrolysable methyl polysiloxane, trifunctional at one terminus, represented by general formula (1) (R1 is a C1-6 alkyl group, and a is an integer 5 to 100); (C) a thermally conductive filler having a thermal conductivity of 10 W/m·° C. or greater; (D) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane containing two to five hydrogen atoms directly bonded to a silicon atom (Si—H group) per molecule; (E) an adhesion promoter having a triazine ring and at least one alkenyl group per molecule; and (F) a catalyst selected from the group consisting of platinum and platinum compounds.

A highly thermal conductive compound containing (A) 85 to 97% by mass of an inorganic powder filler, (B) 2 to 15% by mass of a base oil, and (C) 0.001 to 10% by mass of a compound represented by Y—(—R2—COO—)n—R1—X (wherein R1 and R2 each is a bivalent hydrocarbon group having a linear or branched chain having 1 to 36 carbon atoms, n is 1 to 15, X and Y each is at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group and a hydroxyl group or a hydrogen atom, and at least one of X and Y is a carboxyl group or a hydroxyl group.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a nanodiamond thermal grease, which comprises a nanodiamond powder, a thermal powder and a substrate. The nanodiamond powder has volume percentage of 5% to 30%, the thermal powder has volume percentage of 40% to 90%, and the substrate has volume percentage of 5% to 30%. The nanodiamond powder and the thermal powder are distributed uniformly in the substrate to form the nanodiamond thermal grease having high thermal conductivity.

Abstract: A composition is disclosed which comprises an aryl perfluoropolyether, optionally a halogenated oil, and further optionally a thickening agent. The composition can be used as a lubricant itself or as an additive to an oil or grease lubricant and can withstand temperatures higher than 300° C. without decomposition. The halogenated oil can be a perfluoropolyether, a fluorosilicone, a polytrifluorochloroethylene, or combinations of two or more thereof. The thickening agent can be finely divided silica, boron nitride, clay, soap, poly(tetrafluoroethylene), clay, talc, silica, titanium dioxide, polydimethylsiloxane, polyurea, polyurethane, or combinations of two or more thereof.
