Abstract:
Provided is a lubricant composition for seamless steel pipes or tubes working which totally satisfies various properties, such as storage stability, transferability inside an apparatus tube, sprayability to lubricated sites, and property of uniform adhesion to a high-temperature mandrel bar without losing non-carburizability or excellent lubricity to hard-to-work materials suchas 13 chromiumsteel and stainless steel. Prepared is a lubricant composition which has a viscosity property represented by the following approximate expression: . Y = a·X b wherein Y: viscosity (mPa·s),x: shear rate (s -1 ) ; and a: 4000 to 40000 and b: -1.0 to -0.3 while the lubricant composition is stored to be kept still, and a: 1000 to 20000, and b: -1.0 to -0.15 after 90 seconds from the time when shearing a lubricant composition is finished.
Abstract:
A threaded joint for steel pipes having excellent galling resistance, rust preventing properties, and airtightness without using a compound grease comprises a pin and a box each having a threaded portion and an unthreaded metal-to-metal contact portion serving as contact surfaces. The contact surfaces of at least one of the pin and the box are coated with a multi-layered structure comprising, from the bottom, a first layer formed from a first metal or alloy, a second layer formed from a second metal or alloy which is softer than the first metal or alloy, and an uppermost layer of a solid lubricating coating comprising a lubricating powder in an organic or inorganic binder.
Abstract:
A coating material (20) comprising a mixture of a thermosetting resin, polytetrafluoroethylene, a member of the polyolefin group consisting of polyethylene, a copolymer of polyethylene and polypropylene, and a combination of polyethylene and a copolymer of polyethylene and polypropylene, in a solvent, wherein said solvent being volatile and having the property of dissolving said resin, is produced and applied to a metal substrate (12).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective agent for an image bearing member, capable of preventing wear and filming of an image bearing member and contamination of a charging member and preventing toner from passing through a gap. SOLUTION: A protective layer setting unit 2 disposed opposing to a photoreceptor drum 1 is composed of a protective agent 21 for an image bearing member, a protective agent supply member 22 in a brush roller form, a pressing force applying mechanism 23, a protective layer setting mechanism 24 forming a thin layer of the protective agent for an image bearing member supplied to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1, and the like. The protective agent 21 for an image bearing member includes a hydrophobic organic compound (A), inorganic fine particles (B) and an inorganic lubricant (C). COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

Abstract:
A tribological system, comprising a main body and a sandwich lubrication, in which the sandwich lubrication includes a binder-free solid lubricant layer comprising a solid lubricant, and a lubricant layer comprising a lubricant. The binder-free solid lubricant layer and the lubricant layer are present as separate layers on the main body and wherein the mass ratio of solid lubricant to lubricant is at most 0.05:1.
