Abstract:
A door closer assembly is provided, including a valve regulating an amount of hydraulic fluid that flows through the valve. The amount of hydraulic fluid flowing through the valve controls a force generated by the door closer assembly on a door. A first sensor measures an angular position of the door, and a second sensor measures an angular position of the valve. The angular position of the valve determines the amount of hydraulic fluid flowing through the valve. A controller controls the adjustment of the valve based on the angular position of the door and the angular position of the valve.
Abstract:
An actuator for moving a closure between an open and a closed position. The actuator having a first mode, where the closure is free to move with respect to a closure frame, and a second mode where the actuator resists movement between the closure and the closure frame.
Abstract:
A hinge includes a second connector having a pintle of which a locating rib is protruded at a peripheral outside, and a first connector which includes a pivotal sleeve sleeved to the pintle and defining a slot to break off the pivotal sleeve for locking the locating rib therein, a coupling flap and a locating strip spaced from each other in a parallel relation and connected with two opposite edges of the slot respectively. The locating rib can further slide along and abut against a peripheral inside of the pivotal sleeve to produce friction resistance force therebetween for positioning the first connector at any inclined angle relative to the second connector. A fastening element holds the locating strip and the coupling flap together and can adjust a space between the locating strip and the coupling flap to further regulate the friction resistance force.
Abstract:
A locking device for securing a motor vehicle component which is displaceable relative to a motor vehicle structure and which may be secured by means of the locking device within a displacement range in a respective position of rest reached by displacement is provided. The locking device comprising at least one first frictional element and at least one second frictional element, which is moved relative to the first frictional element upon displacement of the motor vehicle component and thereby may slide with a friction surface along a friction surface of the first frictional element under sliding friction conditions and which, in a respective position of rest of the motor vehicle component, with its friction surface bears against the friction surface of the second frictional element under static friction conditions. A flowable additional medium is provided which may be brought, upon a relative movement of the frictional elements, between their friction surfaces.
Abstract:
Damping device (10), in particular for damping the motion of movable furniture parts of pieces of furniture, with a piston mounted in a housing (12) in a longitudinally displaceable manner which, in accordance with the displacement position thereof, forms two variable-size working chambers on opposite sides that are filled with a fluidic damping medium. Via at least one overflow-connection, a throttled transfer of the damping medium is possible between the two working chambers, wherein a piston plunger (28), fed in a sealed manner out of the assigned front-facing end of the housing (12), is connected on one side of the piston (14), and wherein via the outer end of said piston plunger (28), facing away from the piston, the motion of the furniture part to be damped is transferred to the piston (14). On the side of the piston (14) opposite the working chamber (26) on the piston plunger side, an elongated adjustment shaft (38) is connected with a diameter essentially corresponding to the diameter of the piston plunger (28), the free end of which is also fed in a sealed manner out of the front face lying opposite the front face that is sealed on the piston plunger side, out of the housing (12). The end of the adjustment shaft (38) connected to the piston (14) engages with a passage duct (42) connecting the two working chambers of the piston (14) and is constructed in such a way as to form a variable-sized throttle cross section in the passage duct (42) by making an adjusting motion of the shaft (38) relative to the piston (14).
Abstract:
An obstruction detection device for a motor vehicle having a door assembly movably connected to a vehicle body is provided. The device controls the vehicle door's opening angle to prevent inadvertent contact with an object foreign to the vehicle, while providing the largest opening for vehicle ingress and egress. The obstruction detection device includes a controller that is operatively connected to at least one sensor configured to actively monitor and transmit signals to the controller indicative of the presence and corresponding proximity of the object relative to the door assembly. An actuator is operatively connected to and controlled by the controller. The actuator is configured to apply a selectively variable force that restricts the movement of the vehicle door assembly with respect to the vehicle body when the door is a predetermined distance from the object.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an arrangement in a pivotal screen or screen section for substantially continuous adjustability and parking of the screen in the desired position, the screen or screen section being provided with an upper hinge and a lower hinge, and the lower hinge being provided with a conicity for achieving a braking effect against pivoting of the parts in relation to one another.
Abstract:
A push-out style window assembly including window hardware for frictionally retaining an open position of the window under typical loading conditions. A push-out style window assembly generally includes a friction hinge assembly including a track, a sash arm, a support arm, and a friction arm. The friction arm can include an adjustable and/or detachable slide enabling adjustment of a frictional resistance between the friction slider and the support arm. Using the friction arm, frictional resistance is provided so as to provide control both during opening of the window and in retaining the position of an open window.
Abstract:
A hinge having the function of auto-shutting, it is formed on a rotation axle thereof a pair of engaging structures being of different sizes, being composed of a pair of protrusions and a pair of detents as well as being at mutual symmetrical positions separated 180° away on contact surfaces of a positioning device including a positioning block and a positioning piece, in order that a foldable electronic product connected with the hinge is able to shut automatically when in folding. And a pair of protruding stubs and recess holes are provided at the two lateral sides of the smaller protrusion and the smaller detent of the engaging structures, in order to prevent the smaller protrusion from falling into the larger detent when the foldable electronic product is opened.
