    Abstract: The invention relates to a multiple screw driving machine comprising a plurality of individual screwdrivers which are arranged on a body or in a housing ( 8 ) and which each comprise a spindle or shaft ( 7 ) which is rotatably mounted in the housing and which at an outer front end carries a screw driving tool ( 10 ) for engagement with a screw means. Each of the screwdrivers are separately drivable by a common motor ( 1 ) via a driving wheel transmission comprising a primary driving wheel ( 5 ) for each screwdriver. The primary driving wheel ( 5 ) is rotatably but non-displaceably mounted on the shaft ( 7 ) of the respective screwdrivers whereas a driver element ( 14 ) is non-rotatably but displaceably mounted on the shaft ( 7 ) and is displaceable with the aid of an operating means ( 16 ) towards and away from the primary driving wheel ( 5 ). The primary driving wheel ( 5 ) and the driver element ( 14 ) each have mating and mutually facing engagement means ( 19, 20 ).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a chipper knife for chippers of the type comprising a tool (12) which is rotatable on an axis of rotation and is in the form of, f or example a drum, disc or truncated conical body, which supports a plurality o f such chipper knives. The chipper knife comprises at least one cutting edge ( 1) which is formed between a flank (2, 2') and a chip guiding surface (4, 4'), and two opposite main surfaces (3, 3') which are adapted to abut against and be retained on the opposite seats (14, 15) of a holder (9, 10) on the tool. At least one main surface (3, 3') of the chipper knife which is located on a wo od side of the chipper knife comprises a cross-sectionally convexly bent surfac e portion (6, 5') which connects to and extends backwards from the flank (2, 2 ') and the chord of which constitutes at least 20 %, preferably at least 30 % and, most preferably, at least 40 % of the total cross-sectional length of t he chipper knife.     Abstract: The invention concerns a barking tool for barking machines of the type having a plurality of swinging arms, each being at an inner end pivotally mounted on an annular rotator which is rotatable about an axis of rotation, and each having at a free outer end a processing edge. The processing edge is defined between a front and a top surface, which is adapted, during barking, to make an acute angle with the circumferential surface of the log. The barking tool further has a bead, which is located on the top surface in an area adjacent to the end of the processing edge furthest down in the feeding direction. The bead is essentially arcuate in such a manner that its height above the top surface successively increases from an area adjacent to the processing edge perpendicularly backwards therefrom and, more specifically, the height is adapted such that the bead during normal barking is positioned between a certain minimum and a certain maximum, and preferably essentially uniform, distance from the barked circumferential surface of the log independently of its diameter.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a processing means for barking machines of the type having a plurality of swinging arms (11), each being at an inner end pivotally mounted on a rotatable, annular rotator, while at an opposite outer free end, they carry such a processing means and are actuated by a spring load which strives to pivot the outer end inwards to the axis of rotation of the rotator. The processing means comprises a front (1), a rear (2), an upper (3) and a lower (4) surface, which are designed in such manner that an edge serving as a processing edge is defined between the front (1) and the upper (3) surface. The lower surface (4) is formed with an engaging means (8) which is adapted to engage a matching formation (14) in a seat (12) in the outer end of the swinging arm. The rear surface (2) acts as a supporting surface which serves to abut against a corresponding swinging arm supporting surface (16) which is directed forwards or obliquely forwards against the direction of feed of the logs. The engaging means comprises a ridge (8) or a groove and is rectilinear and elongate in such manner that its total length exceeds its height or depth, and preferably also its width, at least by a factor ten. The engaging means (8) further extends at an acute angle of at least 10 DEG in relation to the rear surface (2).
