Abstract:
본 발명은 입술인식 인터페이스장치를 이용하여 휴대용 단말에서 키보드 입력 및 커서 이동 기능을 용이하게 입력 처리할 수 있도록 하는 휴대용 단말에서 입술인식 인터페이스 입력장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 명령어를 말함에 따른 입술동작 특징정보를 추출하여 각 명령어에 대한 입술동작 특징을 학습하고 이 학습정보를 인식정보 DB에 저장 관리하는 입술인식 학습단계와, 사용자가 입력버튼을 누르고 특정 명령어를 구두로 입력하는 입술명령 입력단계와, 타임아웃이 되거나 입력버튼이 놓일 때까지 사용자가 상기 특정 명령어를 말함에 따른 영상이미지를 수집하는 영상이미지 수집단계와, 수집된 영상이미지로부터 입술 특징정보를 추출하여 입술동작을 인식하고 인식정보 DB의 학습정보를 참조하여 해당 명령어로 변환하는 입술 인식단계와, 입술인식 결과의 명령어를 실행하는 명령어 실행단계로 이루어진다.
Abstract:
본 발명은 컴퓨터의 입력 장치인 마우스, 터치 패널을 초음파 센서를 이용하여 구현하는 공간 포인팅 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 초음파를 일정한 시간 간격으로 송신하고 버튼 입력을 받는 초음파 송신부와 이차원적으로 배열된 3개 이상의 초음파 수신부, 수신된 초음파로부터 화면 좌표를 계산하여 표시하고, 버튼의 눌림 여부를 판단하는 컴퓨터 시스템으로 구성됨을 특징으로 한다. 또한, 본 발명은 초음파 수신부로부터 초음파 송신부의 공간 좌표를 계산하지 않고, 초음파 송신부에서 보낸 신호가 이차원으로 배열된 각 초음파 센서로 도달된 시간차만을 이용하여 화면 좌표를 연산하는 방법을 제공한다. 시간차만을 이용하므로 공간상의 좌표를 계산할 필요가 없고, 센서의 간격을 정밀하게 설치하지 않아도 되기 때문에 설치 및 응용이 매우 손쉽다. 본 발명은 부가적인 송신 수단 없이 하나의 초음파 송신부만을 이용하여 마우스 버튼의 눌림을 전달할 수 있는 방법을 제공한다.

PURPOSE: A system and a method for converting/transmitting an HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) document into an XML(eXtensible Markup Language) document optimized to a terminal by using the profile information of the terminal are provided to effectively display the web contents to respective terminals by transmitting the XML document optimized to a processing capability of the terminal having various specifications. CONSTITUTION: The terminal(10) displays the XML document and transmits an HTTP(HyperText Transfer Protocol) request including the profile information. A profile storage(50) divides/stores the profile information into an HTTP and a profile. An HTML-XML converter(40) transfers an HTTP request message removing the profile to a web server(70). If an HTTP reply is received from the web server, the HTML-XML converter converts the HTML document(80) included in the received message into the XML document by referring to the profile information and transmits the XML document to the terminal.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for updating various OSs(Operating System) and user interfaces on a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) is provided to independently install the OS and the user interface fit to the OS to the PDA without a host PC by using a sub storage combined with a main body of the PDA in one body. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(40) embedded into a PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(20) directly controls the sub storage(30). The data is shared through a storage socket combined to the main body(10). The OS and the user interface stored in the sub storage are updated or reinstalled to the PDA by copying the OS and the user interface to a main storage(50) through a control program(53) stored in a ROM(51) under control of the CPU.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A system and a method for updating a flash memory using a bootstrap mode of the Dragon ball series are provided to easily install/update an initializing code to the flash memory through a serial communication function between a host computer and the system without an aid of other device such as a debugger by using the bootstrap mode offered from a Dragon ball series of Motorola. CONSTITUTION: A serial communication port(12) is connected to the host computer(11). A main memory(14) temporarily stores a flash update program and a booting program received from the host computer. The flash memory(15) stores the booting code of the booting program by the flash update program. If the bootstrap mode is set, a CPU(13) supporting the bootstrap mode downloads the flash update program from the host computer through the serial communication port, downloads the booting program from the host computer by executing the flash update program, temporarily stores the booting program to the main memory, and updates the flash memory with the booting code of the booting program.

PURPOSE: A method for controlling household appliances in a home server based on a network and an apparatus therefor are provided to provide control commands of the household appliances as a natural language type in a remote place using a voice or an electronic pen and confirm the command result through a cooperative work of a portable terminal and intelligent agents embedded in the home server. CONSTITUTION: An input unit receives control command information for controlling the operation of a household appliance as a natural language type from a user. A recognition unit(410) converts control command information with the natural language type inputted through the input unit into information for communication with a home server(200), or converts execution result process information received from the home server(200) into a natural language type for displaying execution result process information to the user. A private secretary agent unit(420) transmits control command information processed by the recognition unit(410) to the home server(200) through a wired and wireless communication network(300), or receives execution result process information of the household appliance from the home server(200) and displays execution result process information to the user through the recognition unit(410).

PURPOSE: A cross development system using a wireless communication and a method therefor are provided to connect between a host computer and a target board by wireless when developing an embedded system and perform a debugging. CONSTITUTION: A cross development processing unit(13) requests a target board(20) to occupy a CPU(23), and judges whether it is possible to occupy the CPU(23) on the basis of a signal transmitted from the target board(20). If it is possible to occupy the CPU(23), a BT(BlueTooth) module(12) transmits and receives information for cross development with the target board(20) by wireless. The cross development processing unit(13) performs a remote debugging on the basis of program executed result information received from the target board(20).

PURPOSE: A portable information terminal device for driving a low-power voice command and a driving method thereof are provided to have a digital signal processor dedicated to a voice recognizing function, so as to minimize the consumption of power. CONSTITUTION: A voice recognition processing unit(120) is converted into a normal operation state, if the request of activating voice recognition is received in a standby state of a low-power mode, to perform voice recognition. An information processing unit(110) performs data input/output and information processing with a user, and delivers the request of activating voice recognition to the voice recognition processing unit(120), if the user requests the activation of voice recognition.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for compressing an image using a vector quantization and a method for generating vector quantization code book are provided to maintain a high compressibility and, simultaneously, restore an image quality excellently, and compress an image in real time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for compressing an image using a vector quantization includes apparatuses(12) to divide a pixel block and make into a vector dividing an inputted image into a unit pixel block to make into a vector, input vector size and element variance calculators(13) to calculate a size of an input vector which is made into a vector and inputted and the variance of a vector element, fragment selector(14) for code book inspection establishing a range of a reference vector, which is the subject of inspection, from the inner color based on the calculated vector size and the element variance, a code book(15) consisted of aligned reference vectors according to a size of a vector and a size of an element variance, and an apparatus(16) for searching the closest reference vector to search the closest reference vector to an inputted vector in the searching fragment of the code book and output a compressed image data consisted of address rows of the reference vector.
