Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to selecting a deferral period after detecting an error in a received packet by an apparatus for wireless communications. The apparatus generally includes an interface configured to obtain a frame received over a medium, and a processing system configured to detect an occurrence of an error when processing the frame, determine an intended recipient of the frame based on information included in the frame, and select a deferral period, after detecting the occurrence of the error, during which the apparatus refrains from transmitting on the medium, wherein the selection is based, at least in part, on the determination.

A receiving device may receive a first physical layer header of a first wireless local area network (WLAN) protocol data unit over a shared radio frequency spectrum band. The first physical layer header may include at least a first basic service set (BSS) identifier and a first device association identifier (AID). The receiving device may perform, based at least in part on the first BSS identifier and the first device AID, an intraframe operation including a power saving operation and/or a receive filtering operation.

Abstract: A method includes creating a plurality of data fragments from a single data unit. The method also includes transmitting the plurality of data fragments to a receiver and receiving an acknowledgement from the receiver after transmitting a last data fragment of the plurality of data fragments. The method further includes selectively interpreting the acknowledgement as a multi-fragment acknowledgement (MFA) in response to a value of a fragment sequence number (FGSN) of the last data fragment. The MFA indicates receipt or non-receipt by the receiver of each of the plurality of data fragments of the single data unit.

The BA frame may include a fragment number field and a bitmap length indicator within the fragment number field that indicates a length of the block ACK bitmap within the BA frame.
