Abstract: PURPOSE:To always improve the visual image display on a blackboard sheet and the transfer of the blackboard sheet. CONSTITUTION:After the charge on a blackboard sheet 2 is discharged by using a discharge roller 5, an electrostatic head 4 makes write to form an electrostatic latent image. A toner is semi-fixed to the electrostatic latent image to form a visual image. Cleaning blades 7a, 7b are pressed into contact with the sheet 2 and the blades 7a, 7b are used to scrape the toner. At write of a picture, the sheet 2 is carried reverse to discharge a part (part S) between the roller 5 and the head 4 for writing. There is no difference caused between a surface potential of the part S and part (part T) before the roller 5 thereby preventing a difference from density of each part of a pattern or missing of dot from being caused. Moreover, since the sheet is carried forward after it is carried reverse by a prescribed quantity, the blades 7a, 7b are kept free from the curled sheet 2 at the start of carrying so as to relieve the load at the carrying start thereby preventing out of perforation or a damage.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make density of an image unified by supplying voltage pulse intermittently to a predetermined control electrode arranged in adjoining high resistance parts. CONSTITUTION:Adjoining stylus electrode groups Am and Bm and corresponding adjoining control electrodes are not driven continuously. Every second stylus electrode is driven and every third control electrode is driven so that a voltage pulse P2C is supplied to a predetermined control electrode C2 which is arranged in adjoining high resistance part 4ai, for example, high resistance parts 4a1 and 4a2 intermittently, not supplying twice continuously. In this way, since a re-recording action due to a remaining element voltage Vf and a crosstalk noise element voltage Vc to a coming recording part will be gone, a quantity of electric charge to form an electrostatic latent image to be formed on each recording part in the main scanning direction of an electrostatic record medium becomes the same value. Accordingly, when the electrostatic latent image is developed by a toner and an output image is formed, the density of the image will be unified.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve both improvement of relative positional precision of a stylus electrode and a control electrode and improvement of image quality by a method wherein an electrode pattern and a wiring pattern are formed by laminating in multiple layers, and the electrode pattern is connected to the wiring patterns between respective layers via a through hole. CONSTITUTION:A head part 1 is composed of laminated five layers of an electrode pattern 3 and wiring patterns 6-9 wherein substrates 2a, 2b, 2c consisting of four sheets of glass epoxy resin or the like are sandwiched respectively among them. Further, the wiring pattern 9 is formed on the rear surfase of the fourth substrate 2d. An electrostatic recording head A is composed of laminated four substrate 2a...2d and besides, the electrode pattern 3 consisting of a stylus electrode S and a control electrode C is formed at the first layer on the first substrate 2a. The wiring pattern 9 consisting of a terminal part of the stylus electrode S and a terminal part of the control electrode C are formed at the fifth layer the rear surface of the fourth substrate 2d and further, the wiring patterns 6, 7, 8 electrically connecting the electrode pattern 3 to the terminal parts are formed by lamination on the second layer the third layer, and the fourth layer respectively among four substrates 2a... 2d.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To avert ghost and to improve image grade by dividing a conductive layer respectively via high-resistance parts to the widths corresponding to the respective stylus electrode groups of a recording head. CONSTITUTION:Electrostatic recording media 21 are provided opposite to the recording heads 2 consisting of the plural electrode groups A, B consisting of the plural writing stylus electrodes 3 which are respectively independently controlled and control electrodes 4 facing the respective electrode groups A, B. The electrostatic recording media 21 are formed by having the conductive layers 23 and the dielectric layers 24 which are opposed to the stylus electrodes 3 and are electrified by the recording heads 2. The conductive layers 23 are constituted by being divided respectively via the high-resistance parts (including insulating parts) 25 to the widths W corresponding to the widths of the respective electrode groups A, B. As a result, the influence of the voltages of the control electrodes 4 selected at the time of writing is shut off by the high- resistance parts 25 and is no longer exerted to the stylus electrode side of the same system connected to the selected stylus electrodes 3. The ghost is thereby averted and the image grade is improved.
