Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A device (1) for use with a cable-operated door (3), such as garage doors (3) and the like, and a door assembly including the same. The device (1) is intended to reduce the risk of the door (3) falling, or at the very least slow down its descent, in the event of a failure in the counterbalancing mechanism of the door (3), which is generally represented by a loss of tension in a given tensioned cable (5) operating the door (3). The brake device (1) includes a support bracket (9), and a guiding assembly (15) and a braking assembly (17) mounted onto the support bracket (9). The braking assembly includes a swivel component (18) having opposite braking arm (19) and lever portion (20), the lever portion cooperating with the tensioned cable (3) so that in the event of a loss of tension in the cable (5), the braking arm (19) is urged onto an adjacent rail (7) via biasing means (21) for anchoring a knife (45) of the braking arm (19) into the rail (7) and stopping, or at the very least, slowing down the descent of the door (3), with respect to the rail (7).
Abstract:
An overhead garage door having the appearance of a set of light-transmitting doors, such as French doors. The garage includes arrays of light-transmitting panels on the door arranged to simulate light-transmitting doors, moldings, doorknobs, and hardware for connecting the garage door to a garage. The door may be formed from a plurality of sections arranged in a stack and pivotally connected to adjacent sections. The garage door may be formed from a kit having a plurality of door sections with light-transmitting panels mounted thereon and hinges for connecting the sections. The garage door may also be formed from a retrofit kit for modifying an existing garage door to have the appearance of a set of light-transmitting doors. The light-transmitting panels permit visible light to enter a garage and may be transluscent. The panels may be made of polycarbonate acrylic.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hinge comprising at least two hinge tabs which are articulated to each other, especially for the door of a shower cubicle. The hinge tabs are fixed to the outer surface of the parts, especially the door and the adjacent wall. A decoration surface or a decoration plate is fixed to the outer side of one of the two hinge tabs or both hinge tabs.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a rail hidden type window and door system, including a lower window (or door) frame having a rail cover attached on a main window (or door) frame, a rail hidden by the rail cover and formed on a concave portion of a window (or door) of the main window (or door) frame of an inside of an inlet, and inlet gaskets mounted on a surface member and the rail cover; and a lower window (or door) member having a lower portion enhanced by a supporting portion, an extending portion having a roller supporting member on which a roller groove is formed, and a roller device mounted in the roller groove. Accordingly, the window (or door) is not removed from the rail and is stably opened and closed, while keeping the sealing state to minimize heat loss and preventing water from infiltrating into the interior.
Abstract:
An operator (10) for moving in upward and downward directions a sectional door (D) having a couterbalancing system (30) including a drive tube (31) interconnected with the door including, a reversible motor (40), a drive shaft (50) selectively driven in two directions by the motor, a drive gear (61) freely rotatably mounted on the drive shaft, a driven gear (65) mounted on the drive tube and operatively engaging the drive gear, a disconnect assembly (70) having a spool (71) rotatable with the drive shaft and movable into and out of engagement with the drive gear for selectively connecting and disconnecting the motor and the drive tube, and an actuating mechanism (80) normally maintaining said spool in engagement with the drive gear and biasing the spool out of engagement with the drive gear when released to permit independent movement of the door.
Abstract:
A door and doorway construction (50) includes a doorway structure (51) having a lock jamb (64), a hinge jamb (68), and a header defining a doorway opening (52). An adjustable door (53) is constructed to fit mateably into the doorway opening (52). The doorway structure (51) includes an overhead expressway construction (60) configured to structurally support a weight of the door (53) and further adapted to carry utilities over the doorway opening (52). The doorway structure (51) is vertically adjustable to align the expressway construction (60) with adjacent wall units, which results in size changes in the doorway opening (52), and the door (53) is adjustable to define an adjustable vertical height shaped to fill the doorway opening (52) despite the size changes. In another form, the door (53A) is slidably mounted to the doorway structure (51A) by a door-supporting boom (330) that includes a trolley (331) rollingly supported by the doorway structure (51A) and a downrigger (333) that is rigidly supported on the trolley (331).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sliding door installation having at least one motor-driven sliding door wing, preferably an automatic sliding door, having a drive and driving and control devices. Said driving and control devices (2a, 2c, 2f, 2g, 28) are placed in an accommodating chamber (55) attached to the drive (1) on the front side, wherein the accommodating chamber (55) and the drive (1) substantially form a parallelepiped assembled body, the bottom edge of which extends to and/or interlocks with the top edge of the wing and whose vertical overall height is defined by the cross section of the driving motor (2a) and/or by the vertical overall height of the drive (1) and whose horizontal overall depth is at least twice as big as that of the vertical overall height.
Abstract:
The privacy screen (10) provides a simple, effective solution to provide visual privacy for the traditional open workstations of office panelling systems (2). The privacy screen can easily be retrofitted to existing systems without the need for specialized panels or overhead mounting structure at an opening threshold. The privacy screen is mounted to overlap with a face of a panel adjacent a panel and extend there beyond to close the entryway to the workstation.
