    Abstract: Disclosed is a device for mounting a tank in a ship (1). Said device comprises at least two foundations (4) which are fastened to the hull at a distance from each other in the longitudinal or transversal direction of the ship (1) and each of which supports one saddle (6) that is adapted to the shape of the tank (3) and is used for accommodating the tank (3). The inventive device further comprises an insulating layer (8) that is provided on each saddle (6) to thermally insulate the foundations (4) relative to the tank (3) as well as safety mechanisms (10; 12; 15) for mounting the tank (3) on the foundations (4), said safety mechanisms (10; 12; 15) allowing a relative movement between the tank (3) and at least one foundation (4) on the insulating layer (8) in the longitudinal direction of the tank. Each saddle (6) is fastened directly to the tank (3) and has a planar bottom face (7) while each foundation (4) has a planar top face (5), all bottom and top faces (7; 5) being parallel to one another. The insulating layer (8) is disposed between the bottom face (7) of the saddle (6) and the top face (5) of the associated foundation (4) while the safety mechanisms (10; 12; 15) allow a limited relative movement between each saddle (6) and the foundation (4) thereof on or in the insulating layer (8).

    Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft einen doppelwandigen Druckbehälter, zur Speicherung von kryogenem Kraftstoff in einem Kraftfahrzeug, dessen innerer Druckbehältermantel aus ersten Behälterteilen und dessen äußerer Behältermantel aus zweiten Behälterteilen zusammengesetzt ist, die jeweils mindestens in einer zu deren Mittellängsachse parallelen oder schiefen Ebene so abgeschnitten und an den Schnittstellen so miteinander verbunden sind, dass der innere Druckbehältermantel mindestens zwischen den ersten Behälterteilen mindestens eine konkave Einwölbung besitzt. Des weiteren besitzt der den inneren Druckbehältermantel umgebende äußere Behältermantel nach innen gerichtete Abstützeinrichtungen, von denen sich jeweils eine in eine konkave Einwölbung des inneren Druckbehältermantels hinein erstreckt. Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die konkave Einwölbung des inneren Druckbehältermantels jeweils von mindestens einem Zugband überspannt ist und dass die Abstützeinrichtungen des äußeren Behältermantels an dem jeweiligen Zugband anliegen.

    Abstract: The invention rotates to tanks forthe storage of tiquid and has particular application to the land storage of liquefied gas at low temperature at or above atmospheric pressure.
    An object of the invention is to provide a lobed storage tank based on those described in U.K. Patent Specification No. 1 522 609 and U.K. Patent Application No. 37247/76, which is particularly suitable for land storage.
    Thus, the invention provides a storage tank of the kind in which the walls are formed by a multiplicity of connected, parallel, part-cylindrical lobes presenting outwardly convex arcuate surfaces, which is characterised in that the side and end walls thereof are provided by a single tier of connected lobes, in that said lobes extend in one common direction over the tank, in that the end walls of the tank comprise part-spherical knuckles closing off the ends of the part-cylindrical lobes, and in that a separating plate is provided at each lobe connection to strengthen the tank against internal pressure and to divide it into separate storage compartments.
