Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein describe the use of synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block measurement time configuration (SMTC) 2 low power (SMTC2-LP) configuration(s). For cell measurements, a UE may determine that an SMTC2-LP configuration for one or more carriers of one or more target cells is known, determine a periodicity of SMTC occasions of the carrier(s) based on data found in the SMTC2-LP configuration(s), and cancel a cell measurement of an inter-frequency cell based at least in part on the periodicity of the SMTC occasion(s). For cell re-selection, a UE may determine that an SMTC2-LP configuration for a carrier being used at a target cell is known and that a physical cell identity (PCI) of the target cell is found in data of the SMTC2-LP configuration, determine a maximum paging interruption time using this periodicity, and perform a cell reselection to the target cell within this time.

Abstract: Techniques for channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) configuration in wireless communications are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may decode a message including a CSI-RS configuration that indicates a CSI-RS window associated with one or more CSI-RS, with respect to one or more mobility related measurements. The UE may determine one or more mobility related measurements using the CSI-RS configuration, and measure the one or more CSI-RS using the determination of the one or more mobility related measurements. The UE may generate a report for the base station corresponding to the measurement of the one or more CSI-RS.

Abstract: The present application relates to wireless devices, and more particularly to apparatus, systems, and methods for radio link monitoring beam management in 5G-New Radio (NR) for Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC). In one embodiment, a method for signal quality monitoring in a wireless system is disclosed, comprising: determining, by a user device, to connect to the wireless system in a high reliability mode, and determining, based on the determination to connect to the wireless system in the high reliability mode, to use, by the user device, a first pair of out-of-sync (OOS) and in-sync (IS) block error rate (BLER) threshold values and/or a first set of transmission parameters for radio link monitoring (RLM), rather than a second pair of OOS and IS BLER threshold values or a second set of transmission parameters that are configured for use in a non-high reliability mode.

Abstract: Techniques for grouping multiple serving component carriers (CCs) are disclosed. In one example, a frequency separation that defines a frequency range from a lower bound frequency to a higher bound frequency for each CC group of a plurality of CC groups may be determined, wherein a difference between the lower bound frequency and the higher bound frequency of each CC group may be equal to the frequency separation. A frequency of a first CC from a collection of CCs may be determined. The first CC may be assigned to a first CC group, of the plurality of CC groups, wherein the first CC group may have a frequency range that includes the frequency of the first CC.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide Layer 1 reference signal received power (L1-RSRP) measurement and transmission configuration indication (TCI) state switching. A cellular communications network determines a plurality transmission reception points (TRPs) configured for high speed train (HST) communication using millimeter wave (mmWave) signals, and generates a synchronization signal block (SSB) index configuration for the plurality TRPs. The SSB index configuration uses non-adjacent SSB indexes between the plurality of TRPs. A user equipment (UE), in response to entering a HST mode, performs L1-RSRP measurement sharing for SSBs received from different TRPs. A scheduling restraint may be used for TCI state switching. Autonomous UL TA adjustment timing may also be used.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to communicate with a base station using a set of component carriers (CCs) configured for a carrier aggregation (CA) mode, in accord with a first common transmission configuration indication (TCI) identifier (ID) applied to the set of CCs. The UE is also configured to receive, from the base station, a command to switch from applying a first common TCI ID to the set of CCs to applying a second common TCI ID to the set of CCs; transmit, to the base station, an acknowledgement of the command to apply the second common TCI ID to the set of CCs; and transmit data to or receive data from the base station, using the set of CCs and in accord with the second common TCI ID, after an action delay including a first time period in which the acknowledgement is transmitted. The first time period is based on a smallest subcarrier spacing of the set of CCs.
