Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a biaxially stretched laminated film excellent in impact resistance and taste characteristics and suitable for processing by specifying the internal haze per specific length of a laminated film consisting of an A-layer of polyester A based on ethylene terephthalate or ethylene isophthalate with a specific m.p. and a B-layer consisting of polyester B and a thermoplastic elastomer. CONSTITUTION: In a biaxially stretched laminated film for laminating a metal panel consisting of an A-layer composed of polyester A containing ethylene terephthalate or isophthalate with an m.p. of 160-245 deg.C as a main constitutional component and a B-layer wherein polyester B with an m.p. of 140-245 deg.C and a thermoplastic elastomer are compounded, the internal haze per 25μm of the film is 1-75% and the heat shrinkage factor thereof under a 120 deg.C×30-min condition is 5% or less. Since no gap is generated between polyester and the thermoplastic elastomer at the time of stretching when the internal haze of the laminated film is 1-75%, impact resistance is markedly enhanced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film for lamination with a metallic sheet excelling in adhesion, formability, heat resistance, impact resistance and taste characteristics and desirably used for processing a metallic can by laminating a specified polyester film having a specified melting point with a common polyester film. CONSTITUTION:This film is one having a melting point of 120-260 deg.C and containing 0.01-1wt.% diethylene glycol component and 0.001-1wt.% antioxidant. A film prepared by laminating this film (A) with a polyester film (B) mainly consisting of a polyester of a melting point of 231-260 deg.C is preferable in respect that layer A has a function of improving the adhesion to a metallic sheet, and layer B has a function of preventing the inside surface of the can from being damaged by the holder used in baking the can itself after being made. It is desirable from the viewpoint of the taste characteristics that layer B is substantially free from any antioxidant.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable even any crystalline polymer to be stably successively biaxially orientated by a method wherein a degree of crystallization of a polymer film prior to orientation is specified. CONSTITUTION:When a film consisting of crystalline polymer is successively orientated biaxially such as in a length direction and a width direction, a degree of crystallization of a film consisting of polymer prior to orientation is made under 15%. The crystalline polymer means a polymer which can be crystallized by heating, and should preferably be polyamide, polybutylene terephthalate, polyhexamethylene terephthalate, polyoxymethylene, and copolymer thereof. In order to obtain a good plainness film of under 10% in degree of crystallization, a combined method of electrostatic impression and contact casting using surface tension of water is especially preferable.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide excellent processability and to extremely reduce change of an external appearance due to a sunlight after processing by setting yellowing after irradiating by the use of a mercury lamp for a specific time to a specific value in a laminated film laminated with polyester containing specific ingredient and heat sealable polyester and having substantially no orientation. CONSTITUTION:A polyester A containing 5-30mol% of long chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid group having 15C or less alkylene group as acid ingredient and 80mol% of diol ingredient as constituent containing mainly 1,4-butanediol residue, and a heat sealable polyester B containing 5-30mol% of long chain aliphatic dicarboxylate residue having 16C or more alkylene group as acid ingredient, 80mol% of diol ingredient as constituent containing mainly 1,4- butanediol residue are laminated. The polyester laminated film is substantially a film having no orientation, and not particularly oriented. Thickness ratio, laminated structure of the polyesters A, B are so set that yellowing after it is irradiated by the use of a mercury lamp for 100 hours is set to 3.0 or less.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film for forming a specific optical density and excellent formability, masking power, whiteness, etc., and useful as tray, blister, etc., for medical, general purpose and food use, etc., by laminating a thermoplastic polyester containing a colorant to a surface of the base film. CONSTITUTION:(A) A thermoplastic polyester such as polybutylene terephthalate and (B) a thermoplastic polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate containing 10wt.% of a colorant such as titanium oxide having an average particle diameter of 0.2mum are melted and extruded with separate extruders at 250 deg.C for the component A and 280 deg.C for the component B. The extrudates are laminated one upon another in a feed block and extruded in the form of a molten film having an A/B/A structure through a T-die. The extruded film is solidified by cooling on a casting drum maintained at 25 deg.C, made to contact with a hot roll of 50 deg.C and wound to obtain the objective forming polyester film having an optical density of >=0.3 and exhibiting excellent formability, masking power, whiteness, etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve adhesiveness, moldability and impact resistance and to prevent the deterioration of the taste of content at the time of use as a molded can by coating at least the single surface of a steel panel with a polyamide film before molding the steel panel. CONSTITUTION:A steel panel molded object is obtained by coating at least the single surface of a steel panel with a polyamide film and subsequently molding the coated steel panel. The polyamide film pref. has relative viscosity etar of 2.5 or more, an m.p. of 180-235 deg.C and a thickness of 5-250mum. The polyamide film is pref., applied to the steel panel by bonding the polyamide film to the steel panel under heating and pressure by utilizing heat adhesiveness. The coated steel panel thus obtained is subjected to drawing, squeezing molding or drawing/squeezing molding using a jig such as a punch or a die. By this method a laminated steel panel excellent in the adhesion with the steel panel, moldability and impact resistance is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the polyester composition which gives a film excellent in resistance to abrasion and magnetic-layer surface marring during high-speed running by incorporating highly crosslinked polymer particles having a specific hardness. CONSTITUTION:This polyester composition contains particles of a crosslinked polymer having a degree of crosslinking of 60wt.% or higher which have a 10%-deformation strength (S10) satisfying the equation 3kgf/mm . Due to the specific hardness and a high degree of crosslinking, the particles have an excellent affinity for the polyester. When this composition is used in, e.g. a magnetic tape and an external force is applied to the tape during high-speed running, the particles are less apt to fall off, causing no dust generation. The particles are also less apt to mar the magnetic-layer surface. Hence, the equipment and atmosphere for film production can be prevented from being fouled. The composition is particularly suited for use in a magnetic tape, etc.
