Thereby, regarding the bean sprouts on the surface of the conveyor 3 at the conveying end 15, the one attached to the needle-like bodies 5 of the conveyor 3 or twined to it is removed and conveyed out, and the sound bean sprouts is not conveyed to a return passage of the conveying conveyor 3, is not removed and wasted with an unnecessary article not to bring about a loss.

    SOLUTION: This storing device comprises an endless conveyor having carriers for conveying in the conveying direction. The carriers take two positions, i.e., a feeding position for carrying the articles to a carrying out route and a feedout position for feeding out the articles to a specified carrying out route, and also comprises an operation means for performing switching operation between the feeding position and the feedout position. The sorting device is characterized in that, in switching operation, the operation means imparts a downward initial speed to the articles in a generally vertical plane passing a carrying direction.

In addition, even if there is any step between the connection belt 40 and the keyboard type conveyor 8, rolling of the fruits can be prevented because of the same speed of both the conveyors. Hereby, working can be achieved smoothly.
