    Abstract: PURPOSE: A precast concrete module for paving roads and a road paving method using the precast concrete are provided to pave a road in a built-up type, to endure shear stress from the upside and to remove snow and frost from the road. CONSTITUTION: A precast concrete module(10) contains: a hexahedral body(20) made of concrete; a frame member embedded into the body; and a tensioning steel wire inserting hole(40) vertically penetrated through the body to insert a tensioning steel wire(160). A vertical tensioning steel wire guiding conduit is attached to the tensioning steel wire inserting hole to guide the sliding of the tensioning steel wire. Vertical fitting members(60,60') are formed in the front and the rear side of the body to strengthen tensile combination between modules. A vertical opening(90) for tensioning is formed on the body to expose the tensioning steel wire inserting hole. Then, the precast concrete modules are vertically assembled through the fitting members at a specific interval with a tension releasing member(150) in a recessed portion. After that, the tensioning steel wire is inserted into the tensioning steel wire inserting hole, exposed through the vertical opening and held in a tensioning member(170) using an oil hydraulic tensioning member installation jack. Thus, the precast concrete modules are combined each other in tension.
