Abstract:
The invention comprises a drive controller arranged to provide electrical power from a power supply (10) to a machine (8) or load, over a long AC power cable of the order of kilometers. The drive controller (4) is arranged with circuits and/or control processes to provide AC current at a constant ratio of voltage and frequency to said machine (8) or load. The drive controller maintains voltage and frequency at the machine terminals despite fluctuations in voltage and/or frequency that would ordinarily be caused by the load. This is done by estimating the voltage and current at the machine terminals and adapting the drive controller output accordingly to actively vary the converter output dependent on the load of the machine or other load. In other aspects of the invention a method and a computer program for carrying out the method are described.

The present invention relates to a method in an oil and/or a gas production system comprising a plurality of oil and/or gas wells and means adapted for oil and/or gas production parameter testing. The method is adapted to compare a plurality of options related to the oil and/or gas throughput in the oil and/or gas production system, and includes the steps of: a) drawing a plurality of parameter samples from a parameter distribution; b) generating, for each parameter sample, a performance measure by using said parameter sample and a characterizer for each of said options, and c) generating an aggregated performance measure for each of said options by using said performance measures. The parameter distribution and the generation of the performance measure are preferably obtained by a Monte Carlo simulation by using historical and/or online measured and/or estimated data obtained from the oil and/or gas production system. The said data preferably includes at least oil flow rate, gas flow rate, water flow rate, liquid flow rate, gas-oil ratio, water-oil ratio, pressure, temperature, or fluid composition, or any combination thereof.

A control system for railway vehicles comprising a plurality of programmable controller (PLC) devices arranged to control signals for railway signalling. Two PLCs (4, 5) are each arranged in an interlocking system to provide a signal to control a signalling operation on at least a part of one or more railway tracks. The PLCs are each connected to at least one communication unit comprising an I/O board, and the interlocking system has redundant software and redundant hardware, and a redundant power supply. In other aspects of the invention a computer program and graphic user interface for carrying out the method are provided.

One aspect of the invention concerns a dosing device for a program controlled spray painting apparatus adapted for dosing electrically conductive fluid materials to a spray gun/applicator. The spray gun may be charged at a high voltage for electrostatically charged atomizing of electrically conductive fluid materials. Another aspect of the invention concerns a coating system including the dosing device, which is moved by an actuator between a connecting member for a paint filling line or a cleaning fluid supply line, and a spray gun. A method and a computer program for carrying out the method are is described.

The present invention concerns revalidation of a compiler of control language for use in an industrial control system, each time the compiler has been used. In particular, the invention reveals a method to revalidate a compiler for compilation of a user-written program, which is intended for safety control of real world entities. The user-written program subject to compilation by the compiler is intended for execution in a device, which comprises functionality that adds safety features to an industrial control system. The invention ensures that no fault is introduced into the device due to error in the compiler code. Such an error may, for instance, occur during distribution of the compiler code or due to failure in a computer's memory or failure on a disk where the compiler code is stored. Hence, the invention ensures that no such fault is introduced into the control of real world entities which otherwise could lead to accidents that harm people or cause damage to the environment.

A well assembly for intervention of a subsea well (3) or well head (4) by means of a wireline or a coiled tubing (7) connected to a toolstring, comprising a lubricator package (6), an injector package (5), and a well barrier package (11). The injector package (5) is adapted to inject the wireline or coiled tubing into the well or well head. The lubricator package (6) comprises lubricator means (13, 29, 30) defining a locking chamber via which said wireline or coiled tubing (7) is to be forwarded to the well (3) or the well head (4). The lubricator package (6), the injector package (5) and the well barrier package (11) are adapted to be fitted onto each other and to the well head (4). The injector module (12) is adapted to forward said lubricator means (13) through it, when said packages are connected to each other respectively and to the well head (4), for the purpose of injecting said wireline or coiled tubing (7) into the well or well head.

The system comprises an operation control unit (20), an alternating current cable (16) connecting the machine (30) with the operation control unit and an electric short-circuiting arrangement (26). This arrangement is connected to terminals of the operation control unit facing the cable and short circuits these terminals based on a detected overvoltage.
