Abstract:
In accordance with at least one exemplary embodiment, a syringe device, method and system for delivering a therapeutic amount of ozone are disclosed. A sterility case can enclose a syringe portion and can maintain sterility while the syringe device is interfaced to an ozone generator. A valvably-controlled fluid channel can extend from the barrel of the syringe through the case. Conducting elements can be attached to the case and can breach the case. The conductive elements can be connected to electrodes. The electrodes can be attached to the syringe. The syringe portion can be filled with oxygen gas via the valvably-controlled fluid channel. An electric current can be provided to the conductive elements from an ozone generator resulting in a corona discharge from at least one electrode. A therapeutic amount of ozone gas can be produced from the oxygen gas and the syringe delivered into the sterile field without compromise.
Abstract:
In accordance with at least one exemplary embodiment, a syringe, method and system for delivering a therapeutic amount of ozone are disclosed. An exemplary syringe can have a gas chamber and one or more electrodes. A portion of at least one electrode can be within the gas chamber. Alternatively, singularly or in conjunction, one or both electrodes can be attached to the outside of an exemplary syringe. One or more electrical contact points can be outside the gas chamber. Each electrical contact point can be connected to an electrode. Oxygen gas can provided within the gas chamber of the exemplary syringe. A medical ozone generator can be connected to the syringe via the electrical contact points. Corona discharge can be effectuated via the electrodes, which can result in an amount of ozone gas can being produced from the oxygen gas.
Abstract:
A method for repairing a facet joint of a human vertebra having a joint capsule surrounding the facet joint. In the method, a synthetic elastic material is introduced into the facet joint. The synthetic elastic material can be a solid, swellable polymer that expands when hydrated upon being placed in the facet joint. The invention includes the implant and the method of making the implant.

Abstract:
Apparatus, method and system for delivering sterile unit dose of ozone. System includes sterile vial containing oxygen and corona discharge assembly. Sterile vial is engaged to ozone conversion unit having high voltage transformer, ozone measurement mechanism, data input mechanism, and displayed read-out. When power is supplied to sterile vial containing corona discharge assembly, oxygen is converted to specified concentration of ozone. Sterile vial is disengaged from ozone conversion unit, drawing port is attached, and needle or similar extraction tool is used to withdrawal ozone for treatment.
Abstract:
A spinal implant provides support for desired parts of the spine. The implant can provide support in both fusion and non-fusion situations. The spinal implant includes an implant rod and fasteners for coupling or fastening the implant rod to the affected regions of the spine via the pedicles of the affected vertebrae). The implant rod includes a flexible portion and rigid end portions. The fasteners couple the end portions of the rod to the pedicles in the affected level. The flexible portion can take a variety of shapes, such as non-helical, multi-curve springs. One may combine several implant rods to provide an overall implant for more than one level of the spine. The implant can allow desired motion while tending to limit undesirable motion, thus protecting areas of the diseased or injured spine, such as the nucleus pulposus or anulus fibrosis. Furthermore, the implant can provide a combination of rigid and flexible support, as desired. One may manufacture the implant using a variety of materials, such as stainless steel, titanium, or titanium Beta C.
